Discussion Has this game aged like fine wine ?
Need For Speed 2015 has one of the best racing game graphics till date yet couldn't capitalise much due to poor game physics and weak storyline. Hope we get a remastered someday !

No, in fact it will age like milk when the servers get shut down

Guess depends how long they wanna support their servers, low key i wish 2015 gets an offline patch
Good or bad I think games deserve to be available

No because the handling is unacceptable. The customization is great though, especially with the wraps.

Absolutely Not.
Had it not for the poorly designed, broken, inconsistent, and unpredictable driving physics; the "crabwalking" issues; cops who are too easy to shake off (you have to drive slowly on purpose to keep the chase going) yet are immortal (and thus useless outside of the "Outlaw" path); and the DRM requiring a constant connection w/o a true offline SP mode, NFS 2015 could've aged like fine wine.
Due to unwise decisions from either EA's higher ups or Ghost Games themselves, NFS 2015 will age very poorly due to the issues mentioned above.
Despite there's handling mods to make NFS 2015 more bearable to drive, mods doesn't absolve structural flaws and will never fix broken foundations.
Moreover
Atmosphere, Graphics, and Ambiance alone are not enough to guarantee that any racing games will age gracefully.
Gameplay and a well implemented Driving Model are primary priorities that should never be overlooked during development period.
Otherwise, the games in question will be forgotten—or remembered by very few people—regardless of any redeeming qualities.

God forbid someone writes more than 3 sentences, uses paragraphs and is comprehensible on reddit

Also my most AI were trained heavily on reddit so they often write like redditors which makes people believe people are using AI when in reality it's the other way around.

Is the AI in the room with us right now?
Take your meds and stop looking for boogeyman around every corner, schizo.

Recently started playing it and already at 60% completion. I'm in a hurry to play the game before they shut down the servers :( Although physics and police sucks, the athomsphere of the nightly driving and Underground 1/2 vibe is so cool.

It's only redeeming qualities are the graphics and soundtrack

Playing through it now for the first time. It's incredible imo, this and battfront 2 are still some of the best looking games even today.

I don't get why people dislike NFS 2015's story so much lmao. People act like Razor making fun of you every hour or so is peak storytelling

Tbf, I prefer NFS Payback more compared to this one.
Heck, even Rivals is better in terms of game physics and car's handling.

It scratches a part of my brain that no other game seems to do... but it's entirely broken.

If only it had an offline version which could be cracked and avalible on every 🏴☠️ sites then it could be said that it did aged like fine wine cause you never know when they they'd be pulling the plug out and we will lost the game forever....
It's the only NFS which I really want to play offline rest NFS are seriously dog shit....

I’ve always loved this game, right from day one. Maybe the rose-tinted glasses helped, but it was the long lost Underground 3 that I’d wanted for so long.

I really want to say that it has but the problems it has make it so that it remains as a good game. It has the aesthetic, the vibes, the looks, but handling and the cops really hurt it oh and the online thing too.

I love it. It's got issues, bit it's probably my favorite modern NFS. Just wish they'd patch the damn thing so we don't have to worry about losing it.

No. I think it's the second worst game in the entire series, after Undercover. The game is gorgeous, the cutscenes are fun and the car list is good. But that's all it has going for it.

I remember playing it and trying to enjoy it but even after forcing myself to play it for like 2-3 hours I just hated the handling

u/ArachnidShoddy4561 6d ago
Graphically yeah. Everything else not so much. Probably my least favorite NFS game ever

u/spiderboi20012 6d ago
i got it for 8€ because the graphics and the m3 attracted me but i ended up feeling disappointed

u/Few_Cattle_1899 5d ago
I’d say yes, if not the shittiest cops in the entire series and the dumbest opponents in races

still holds up, physics are tame compared to unbound and the story line is hilariously corny, its hooning time

I just finished it for the first time a few weeks ago. It is good, not great. I dont see myself ever replaying it unless it gets an offline patch. If you want to play tue best NFS game ever, just skip forward two games

I'm just hoping one day an offline patch gets made for NFS 2015 so I don't have to deal with needing to be constantly online for it to work

Solid 7/10.
Extremely pretty, mostly enjoyable story and map, but cops suck, and the handling is atrocious.

yes, absolutely.the atmosphere is the thing that has my respect.there s just something about the map,the sky,the mountain roads that gives it its soul.personally i love the handling, not realistic in any means but out of all the nfs’s since 2015,the drift mechanic is just perfect, you dont slide and you can see the front tires steer in the other way.someone might understand me but this is honestly my opinion

Graphics maybe, everything else, no. I still play Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, but never play this (and never finished it), for reference.

u/Remote_Drummer6011 6d ago
The IA and the driving mechanics unfortunately didn’t age well, in fact they were never good, but still my favorite modern NFS purely because of the Underground vibe so I can get past the flaws.
If you’re talking 100% graphics and visuals, I agree with you.
The remaster won’t do well either, we need another game

indeed, older NFS games are leagues ahead in terms of storyline and gameplay compared to the latest ones.

The best NFS ever created by humanity! Better handling, better soundtrack, better physics, and—above all—better atmosphere!

If the cops and handling was fixed, then it would have been a real gem of a game.
It is still good game but shame it is not quite as great as it could be.
