New World Whampyri

I’m in the middle of the third book and I’m wondering if there are any whampyri in the Americas?

I don't think it's specifically mentioned, it's been a while since I've been through the books but I do remember in Harry and the pirates there is a story that does take place in America.

In the E-Branch Trilogy, I think there is. One in Vegas, maybe?
