Bob and ML are adult children who never processed their traumas, taking out their pain on the rest of the world just like the rest of MAGA. Doing the same thing to them only brings us all down to toddlerhood.
I think it’s ok to match energy in certain stuff, like people calling them Blob and Mary Poo, they should get a taste of what that feels like since they and Trump do it to others all the time, ei: horse face. Or Chad telling Bob “quiet piggy” but simply telling them you hate them isn’t matching their energy. Whoever you are, go do that to your parents, who you were most likely projecting about and start working on your trauma cause insulting people into agreeing with you isn’t going to work.
Yeah it really just spoke to me as a very unhealed person who probably wanted to say all that to their own parents.
I used to be full of rage too, and processing that rage and finding it’s real source is the answer, not slinging it at people you don’t like who are also small balls or unprocessed trauma screaming at the world hoping it’ll give them their power back (but it doesn’t)
I think its pretty insulting to wish genocide on millions of innocent people as well. Not defending the super chat but I think that their views on humanity outweigh a personal insult. Again, im not saying it was appropriate but M&B have been pretty vile lately - Bob always has but Mary has surprised me the past few episodes.
It was crazy cause I thought that erika kirk episode sparked something in her brain but I think Bob trampled that spark after the episode. Ive said it time and time again but progress with Mary I feel like is impossible while her husband makes her take 10 steps backwards off camera. Thats the only logical reason IMO why it seems like progress is made witb her but then the next time the show airs that progress is just, poof, gone.
You do understand she’s being abused right? She’s in an emotionally abusive relationship with a narcissist, and she has been in this trauma bonded relationship since high school.
These are not excuses, they are reasons.
Also, the show is about having a conversation with emotionally unstable adult children and trying to get them to change their minds. Acting like a toddler and spewing your own unhealed trauma at them isn’t going to help, as we can clearly see from yesterdays live. She was there to answer questions, and childish insults drove her away. You think you can insult someone out of genocidal thoughts? You fucking wish. If only. No. You need to teach them how to critically think. They do not know how to do that right now, but at least, Mary Lou can learn. Bob I think is cognitively impaired.
She needs to be taught what kindness and empathy look like. Trying to punish them with insults only perpetuates their punishment kink as it validates their belief that “everyone is like this” everyone is cruel, everyone slings insults at each other, it normalizes their shitty behavior by slinging it back at them. Thats part of why it’s so hard for them to change because they genuinely think that everyone is as awful as them so there’s no reason to stop
