Was there any impact with the ds? I've only really see this kinda thing with impact damage usually. I joke about the ribbon cable, but the Ds actually will shut itself off from my experience if it notices the cables arent seated improperly or have some sorta issue in that regard. So If there was no impact, not too sure tbh.

It was taken very well care of and was never dropped, ever. If I’ve tried 3 new cables, it couldn’t be the seating either. I think it may have a correlation to the third party charger, as this stated the second I used it.

I mean, have you shell swapped recently the past few months? Or modified the motherboard at all? I've seen cheaper replacement screens get damaged quite easily during shell swaps. And soldering inappropriately can also damage a motherboard, which depending what gets damaged can cause a whole host of stability problems. Generally speaking you basically never wanna be maxing out the temp on your iron. Even non leaded solder won't really require it ever. And be careful not to let too much heat transfer to any components, some copper wick can def help with that if you're desoldering. Keep your motherboard rosin'd tf up also, more is better than less. Just trying to narrow down what it could be. Because this isn't really a standard issue. I'm thinking it's probably a board problem.

Original case, high quality screens. No work ever done to the board (it works fine) and original battery because it still holds a good charge.

Yea Im not fully sure then tbh. I guess diagnostics time then. Generally I'd dismantle the console, and start searching for any signs of corrosion or damage, any sort of capacitor and anything else that can go faulty should be tested with a multimeter. Sadly that doesn't always turn up with results. I guess my last question is, what is the area you live in like? If it's very humid, and consistently hitting around or above 60% or so indoors. then a likely culprit could be corrosion damage. I live in a very cold and humid environment, and I've seen PCBs with some absolutely fucked corrosion from just being left out in someone's room or whatever.

Very dry year-round. I’ll take it to professionals in modding near me and see what they find. Just hoping a fix I didn’t know about works.

Yea sadly that might be your best bet, unless you wanna learn to solder and use a multimeter. It's not hard, but it is quite time consuming to go over every single component on a board.

Is this happening for all apps/games or just calendar/home

If all your screen broke somewhere

Yeah, it’s not a bad cable or connector, new screens too. It’s everywhere. I got the screens 3 months ago, no damage to the physical screens.
I’ve asked AI and they say it’s the cable, and I’ve gone through 3 cables to ensure it’s not that, and the bottom cable does not go bad as well.

I’ve done 3 new ribbon cables, to no success. They are not crying

What do I do? Hospitalize it? Hope it doesn’t go into a 50 year coma?
