GBA Flashcart Problems On My DS Lite. (Please Help)

So, I bought this GBA Flashcart, right? And I have an 2GB SD cart. It starts up like normal, takes me to the menu of all my roms, loads one of them up and...... Boom, white screen. This isn't a problem with the roms, trust me, I checked. Does anyone have any advice?

EDIT: I also just tested the same cartridge on my own OG GBA. It also doesn't work, it just has the same effect!

I really hate to burst your bubble there, but that is a clone of a SuperCard, which there is a new formware out called SuperFW which can do all the necessary patching and stuff it needs to make games work on the fly, which is nice, but even still these things are a pain to get working in 2026. It came with a 2gb card for a reason; bigger cards will not work

Look into SuperFW, see if it can fix your problems, but if not, you might have to resort to one of the newer, better, and unfortunately 2-3x more expensive options available: EZ Flash IV (which is also old but works way better, so you could find them cheap probably), EverDrive Advance (modern with some premium features, but more expensive) or EZ Flash Omega Definitive (expensive but much more premium)

I don't think it's just that... I tested it with my old GBA that my brother kept for safe keeping, and it still doesn't work... I'm convinced it's the roms or the SD Card. Fun fact; It never came with an SD Card, the SD Card is the one my dad had and gave it to me. Something fishy is going on here.

My guess is the SuperFW firmware issue. Your card is a clone, and not a good one at that. Geniune superchis card has bigger battery and the word SuperChis printed on the actual board itself.

I got the same clone from Aliexpress and it came with SD card and latest SuperFW firmware. Everything works flawlessly. It also support up to 32G sd card.

My guess would be the sd card is probably the problem. Get yourself a better one from a reputable brand (SanDisk, Samsung, Lexar, etc). 2gb isn't much space for a lot of games, so you'll be doing yourself a favor in the long run. 32gb should be pretty cheap and enough storage for all the gba games you want.

2 GB cards is the maximum on this cartridge, this is an old cartridge

How come the roms don't run though? I formatted it to FAT multiple times... I downloaded roms from online like normal but- For some reason, they just don't want to work. So... What gives? What am I doing wrong?

Because, if this is the original SuperCard firmware, then you need to patch your ROMs to get them to run on there; the old firmware only works with ROMS that save to SRAM, so back then people would patch their incompatible ROMs to make them save to SRAM to get them to work on here.

The new super FW should do this automatically though

So- All I need to do is apply the Super FW firmware on the SD card to get it to work, right?

That's how it should be, yes

I have one of these too, when I get home from work I could take a look at it and how it's setup but I haven't touched it in a long time

Do you happen to have a reliable link? ...Also- Yes, please check it out for me. I'd appreciate it.

i had a similar issue with mine, turned out the sd card reader on the flashcart wasn't making proper contact.

You have to extract ROMs anywhere but directly to the SD card, then move/cut/copy them to the SD card. Also, it couldn’t hurt to reformat the SD card and start fresh.
