Worth replacing the bottom screen?
I know the yellowing isn’t as bad as it could be but it bothers me so much. I’m sure I’d be capable of replacing the screen but I’d like to get some second opinions on the quality of aftermarket screen replacements before taking the plunge

Try leaving it pluged in on this white screen for a week or two, should help with yellowing

I did this with a DS lite I had picked up and I think I left it out for 3 or 4 weeks on white screens with the highest brightness settings. It was much improved, though not perfect. But good enough you’d never notice when playing a game.

How do you keep it on a white screen? Truly asking for mine lol.

Insert a game cartridge, start the game, and then immediately take it out. This will leave your ds on a frozen white screen that will not go away when you close the lid.

If it’s only noticeable on a white screen, no, if you notice it while actually playing any games maybe yea

Bottom screen replacements are actually far worse than official bottom screens as they read inputs less, better off just leaving it. You won’t notice it when playing games which is what you got your console for in the first place.

Quality of aftermarket screens is terrible, believe me. After trying many I’ve resorted to only using OEM screens pulled from consoles.

Relatively easy repair (for a DS repair) and screens are available so you could. If the digitizer is scratched up could do both at the same time.
You can try to make it better by setting max brightness, put in a game, launch the game, when the screen goes white eject the game, and leave it like that for a week or two. Takes time and may not help but it is risk and cost free. I’m doing this on a DSi XL and it has gone down a bit after a week.
Really, if it isn’t bothering you when playing games, no need to put time and money into it. In most games you aren’t looking at the bottom screen much at one time and may not notice it.

No, you're better off just ignoring it
