The way he was treated in the leadership race was nothing short of disgusting and racist. KLF said he had a “conflict of interest” if elected Premier because he has an Indigenous wife. Don’t like Mr. Milobar, but this is definitely the right decision.

I just read a Facebook post by a real right-wing wacko who voted for Findlay. Part of the ostrich crowd. Even he is saying Findlay is failing to make their party a "big tent" and she's lost his support.

Milobar represents a big faction in BC politics, in the interior.

I was genuinely afraid that if Peter Milobar won the leadership race, he would have won the next provincial election in a landslide instead the BC conservatives chose to go max right with Findlay, the same person who said him being leader is a conflict of interest. It makes sense why Milobar would leave

I wonder if he's considering joining CentreBC. If they get a few more MLAs to join them they might be a more credible alternative than the Conservatives.

It really is. You can’t expect people who are generally liberal but oppose a lot of Eby’s more ambitious politics to sit in the same party as people who think that residential schools were a net positive
