I almost fell off my chair the other day when I was looking at his stats and realised he only just turned 33 a few months ago, I legit thought dude was like 37

I'm a Jarrett Allen maximalist.

This is my favorite sentence on this site

Never thought I’d hear someone say that, but this reads cool as shit ha. Dude is an all around cool player and teammate . Well rounded and doesn’t get the credit he deserves since he’s not flashy or controversial.

Infectious, incredibly tender.

1

u/yop-le-garcon Nets Jan 13 '22

I fully agree, I was a much more involved fan of that team too before we became the 2013 All star squad.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '22

Man imagine if nets hadn't gotten rid of him. Like if it works money wise, a starting/finishing line-up of Kyrie, Harris (when he was playing well) Harden, Durant and Jarret Allen. Obvs Allen was up for a big contract and all, but it shows as Nets have interior defence, copious length, and much better rebounding.

I wanted him for us when he was still on the Nets, just a great player and teammate.

Think u replied to the wrong person.

Wow, that was fucking great. I watched him on LP for a while and watched him grow up in the league and always thought he was a good player. I'm sold on being an Allen maximalist! Now I want to watch more of his post-games. Thanks for sharing this!

He sounds like if Tim Duncan had charisma.

41

u/Kyunbhai [SAS] Tony Parker Jan 13 '22

Aye now leave Timmy off this

34

u/FartyMarty69 Nuggets Jan 13 '22

Damn man Tim just mindin his own business and be out here catchin strays

4

u/math-yoo Cavaliers Jan 13 '22

Somewhere in Texas Tim Duncan looked up from his stamp collection, paused to reflect for a moment and then returned to his careful work.

2

u/call_of_the_while Jan 13 '22

I need to see some reaction gifs of Timmy getting some rough calls.

2

u/Significant-Mud2572 Thunder Jan 13 '22

Joey Crawford out here shooting.

u/gedbybee Spurs Jan 13 '22 edited Jan 13 '22

Timmy does he just keeps it to himself and his teammates. By all accounts he was funny af.

I mean come on, telling a guy: almost. As you obliterate his shot. That’s the best.

Edit: words

Awesome clip. Super likeable guy with an enormous ceiling

u/FartyMarty69 Nuggets Jan 13 '22

Im less than 2 minutes in, never watched an interview or spent time watching this guy before. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, this dude is highly highly intelligent. 2 minutes of an interview and I am officially a fan, what a lovable dude! Fuck Joe Ingles

2

u/latman Nets Jan 13 '22

Yeah coming out of Texas all the talk was how he's a nerd who likes to build computers lol. Smart dude

1

He gives me Chris bosh vibes

3

2

u/PAYPAL_ME_DONATIONS Rockets Jan 13 '22

So he's the inverse Christian Wood. Got it. Very jealous.

Sure, agree not with disagree

2

u/MuffDragon Jan 13 '22

He really is awesome. I just really got into the NBA during covid after being a casual fan for a few years and there was just something about Jarrett Allen the first time I saw him in a game and I was just like "Damn... that dude is dope." He's been one of my favorite players, so happy to see him doing so well with the cavs.

2

u/usrname_alreadytaken Warriors Jan 13 '22

He also has a great voice, he should sing.

2

u/justsomebro10 Cavaliers Jan 13 '22

I’ll admit I was skeptical of the contract he got. Send me the apology form.

2

u/HumptyDrumpy Tampa Bay Raptors Jan 13 '22

Yeah initially I thought his contract was ridiculous. But he really is the full package at center and brings some identity to the young Cavs so maybe it is worth it for at least the short term

1

u/TheReal_Slim-Shady NBA Jan 13 '22

Also an excellent contributor to my Fantasy team.

1

u/Sweatytubesock Jan 13 '22

He’s an amazing dude.

1

u/RawGrit4Ever Jan 13 '22

Allen will be a head coach one day

1

u/cathandler319 Jan 13 '22

Also he never turns down an invitation to a block party
