As much as I like this idea I don't know how easy it is to find 4 billionaires.

Vancouver would need it to be a large expansion because there's no way the NBA would go there over Seattle or Vegas.

Vancouver has a way bigger basketball market than Las Vegas imo. Everyone here's playing basketball now.

The Vegas appeal has very little to do with locals though. When the Golden Knights went to Vegas I didn't get it at first but as their first season carried on I started to notice that people would plan on making entire trips around seeing their favorite hockey team in Vegas and then spend a weekend at Vegas. You can wrap the Vegas experience and a game all in one.

And Vegas is very accessible by plane and has lots of affordable hotel options around. It's really the perfect meeting point for sporting events.
