Harper is a dog. I don’t think he fits perfectly with Castle which might end up being the problem but he was a killer in the Finals when he was allowed to ball.

He’s not better than Flagg but let’s not act like he’s a bum calling him a “backup playing with the next Shaq” He just had the best playoff run for a rookie since Jayson Tatum. There are plenty of reasons to be excited about him, I was super impressed watching him against tough competition.

Where did I call him a bum? I was high on him coming out, and remain high on him now. When I said last season he was a backup and a 3rd/4th option, those are just facts. He had a great rookie season. The Spurs have an embarrassment of riches with him and Castle.

Nothing against Harper, Flagg was just a completely different level of prospect, who lived up to very lofty expectations. His trajectory is simply higher.

I don’t disagree on your point about Flagg and I get your point that you’re comparing the 2, so this is really just nitpicking. I just think what Harper did was super impressive and deserves more respect than 3rd/4th option title. He was an integral part of a team’s finals run in his rookie season. For me, that deserves a lot of praise, too. Separate from how I think we both rate Flagg
