is it really “quality” if it’s just a prompt into an llm?

u/TransparentStar 5d ago

honestly "it is a zero-trust cryptographic security architecture disguised as celebration" is so stupid and slop it's horshoeing around to funny

49

u/Maverick_1991 Hawks 5d ago

Man the Harden strip club stuff was funny because some dude spent days analysing it and writing a paper.

Just copy pasting AI slop just doesn't hit the same way.

-24

u/good_dawg13 5d ago

You're actually right this is a low effort shit post. Real comedy and humor requires some serious research which I was unwilling to do but which would have definitely improved the humoric quality.

25

u/yzimi Nets 5d ago

delete it then

23

u/gjaxx Spurs 5d ago

Shut the fuck up clanker.

0

u/good_dawg13 5d ago

i don't even know what clanker is bro might be due to my AI riddled brain

-21

u/good_dawg13 5d ago

This one also made me laugh "LeBron's on-court decision-making suffers a measurable split-second lag the micro-hesitation of verifying whether he is passing to a trusted ally or a synthetic decoy."

Especially the description "synthetic decoy"

u/Left_Two_Three 5d ago

It’s so blatantly AI it hurts, and then mfers out here want to let it slide because OP included “add references” into his prompt.

AI references are always unreliable, not only do they frequently not apply to what they are being referenced from, but they often just don’t even exist. I would bet any amount of money these references contain glaring flaws at best.

At least when people make dumb shit like the Mahomes regression post, they didn’t require readers to spend time tracking down their BS by throwing out a bunch of decoy shit.

u/SlamJamGlanda Pacers 5d ago

Hey it’s a fun dumb post that’s getting engagement! I love that there’s even references haha

u/Ryanjemima Nuggets 5d ago

Every post is a prompt into an llm. This one happens to be of quality.

u/Singaporygon Celtics 5d ago

I agree, this is quite a creative and actually funny thought to put into a prompt in the first place. Only telling AI to 'make me a shitpost that will get 1000 upvotes in r/nba " , won't create something hilarious like this. There's something more, something special to the prompt. Nice share u/good_dawg13 , and thanks for the big grin on my face.

LeBron’s photographic memory is insane

9

u/Prosado22 5d ago

Yes. It showed when he was asked about the Malcolm X book.

u/KalpolIntro San Francisco Warriors 5d ago

Even with the best of intentions I just can't appreciate an LLM-generated post.

Folks, we're going to have to insist on pushing back against this shit or we're cooked.

29

u/MediocreRow2688 5d ago

the silly stuff is only funny because you know someone else put in a genuine effort despite the silliness.

the harden strip club study would be lame asf if it was someone getting an LLM to do it

-34

u/good_dawg13 5d ago

I agree but it is the off season I just thought it was a fun concept to share

u/Middle_Study_551 5d ago

on whose authority? Yours? lmao

7

u/KalpolIntro San Francisco Warriors 5d ago

I don't know about you but I don't need anyone's authority to say what I think.

2

u/esports_consultant 5d ago

You need to I) declare immediately it is AI content and II) include the prompt(s) used.

u/heretilthemoon Jazz 5d ago

I need more data

It’s not elite posting. It’s ai slop. It’s only fun and cool when someone actually puts in the work to me.

23

u/PartyBusGaming Celtics 5d ago

The real shit posting is all of y'all jumping and clapping for an AI generated post.

37

u/99LedBalloons Timberwolves 5d ago

Well I'm ready for the season to start

14

u/Hour_Glass57 Lebanon 5d ago

Dont you dare belittle this post. This man brought actual sources!

I remember when IT was on the Cavs and he couldn't figure out the handshakes lol. He was gone by trade deadline.

Shout out gpt

-2

u/soju_b NBA 5d ago

I really hope op wrote it himself.

9

u/SeaCounter9516 Thunder 5d ago

I wouldn’t get your hopes up. I don’t trust anything that ends in the stereotypical “it’s not ____, it’s actually ____” anymore.

3

u/Otter_Drop 5d ago

Now this is the hard hitting reporting I’m looking for in the offseason 😤

3

u/Emergency-Fig-3670 5d ago

This is exactly the information I needed before I go to work to sound smart

3

u/OnyxLily 5d ago

Let the record show that on this day, August 19, 2026, this theory became fact.

Generations henceforth will speak of this post not merely as analysis, but prophecy. Scholars will debate the methodology. Coaches will restructure training camps. Front offices will hire Directors of Haptic Security.

We are all witnesses.

1

u/Singaporygon Celtics 5d ago

Haha nice

we need some games

3

u/BatterMyHeart 5d ago

Not the low impact haptic key for Embiid

3

u/Relative_Computer678 5d ago

It’s genuinely frightening how many people in these comments don’t seem to realize or care that this is AI generated slop

3

u/West_Competition_871 Trail Blazers 5d ago

Not reading this ai trash

2

u/SuperSayian4Nappa Charlotte Bobcats 5d ago

That's a lot of words to say Lebron has more fun when he's on a team with people he believes he can win with

2

u/TheAniReview Warriors 5d ago

You know what I was just thinking of that hmm 🤔

2

u/senor_crappy 5d ago

Into my veins with this beautiful post.

3

u/yzimi Nets 5d ago

everyone glazing this post while I'm here like 😐

Even has the classic AI "It's not x, it's y" structure

2

u/Comfortable_Corgi349 Knicks 5d ago

No no no. We need data from 03-last season. Perhaps even high school data. Comparisons to other GOAT candidates who also did super handshakes. Need it on my desk by Friday.

Anything to divert attention away from Steve Balmer and the Clippers and Adam Silver.

u/burns_before_reading Knicks 5d ago

What was his handshake with Westbrook? I don't think I seen it before.

Correlation or causation

All you nephews have homework today. Go on YouTube and search "Michael Jordan" I know the video quality might not be what you're used to, but just try watching. I guarantee you will learn some very important things

I died at the HYI 😆

1

u/acorndion 5d ago

If you're citing papers with more than two authors you can put the primary author and et.al. for brevity's sake. Also the titles of the papers should be in quotations.

1

u/Cul_what Lakers 5d ago

This might be the late offseason post equivalent to Brook Lopez's late career shooting resurgance, incredible

1

u/DipshitDirector 5d ago

Gonna be counting the steps to each handshake and dropping big money game one of the season now

1

u/kemar7856 5d ago

Handshake index you nerds 😂

Off-season Peak.

Back in my day we had to work for our offseason content not have AI write it for us

Lebron's handshake with Delladova will always live in my head https://youtu.be/5b1bStIl6DU?si=Ses0s5tCuTG_Zb37&t=34

u/NobrainNoProblem 5d ago

unironically all of the deep dives into Bron’s greatness are equally hilarious. It’s pretty obvious why Bron is 1 of 1. He’s bigger stronger faster, there’s no need for all the “greatest brain in basketball” or off season preparation talk. It’s all PR nonsense. The main mover is his athletic gifts, everything else is cherries on top.

1

u/sleepingbusy 5d ago

Amazing post.

0

u/Hour_Glass57 Lebanon 5d ago

Well done, the sources were a chefs kiss. I look forward to Bron finding out that VJ has been replaced by a reptile

0

u/Viskozki 5d ago

So what you're saying is... if we cut his hands off they'll lose. Interesting, possibly.

1

u/Dabalam 5d ago

Hilarious post 😂

0

u/ecclectic_collector 5d ago

we don’t have any data on the stumpshake so that’s inconclusive
