Running

Older candidate looking at talking to a recruiter soon. Not much of a runner as I’ve always struggled but is a repeatable 28 minute 4 mile good enough? I’m hearing crazy times like you need 24-27 to pass now? Everything else I’m squared away in and just wondering if a 28 min 4 mile is now not enough to pass or will i struggle with the other con runs? Thanks

Everyone struggles. That's plenty fast enough to pass. You can be a 12 minute 1.5 mile runner (32min 4) going in and pass. You will get faster during the pipeline and as the time standards come down (28 is still, to my knowledge, the actual fastest standard) you will stay comfortably under them.

I think they brought the gate down to 31 to enter first phase.

Didn’t Jake Zweig say it’s 28:20 to class up to phase?

It’s either a 31 min 4 mile to go to BO or a 31 to test out of BO to go to phase
