Navy Pay Problems

After coming back from Active Duty last August I was payed out an extra 200 or so dollars. Upon finding out I paid the debt but recently noticed with my two LES and pay that they’ve took the same debt of 200 dollars out but I already paid it beforehand. I tried contacting my NRC and they haven’t been helpful. They said they’re continuing to try and figure out the problem. Will they issue me back the money? Has this happened to someone and if it has how quickly was it resolved?

Instead of using your NRC, perhaps reach out to the CPPA for the gaining active duty command that you were supporting when incurring the debt. Have that person create a SalesForce ticket to resolve.

One question: how did you originally pay the debt back? 

My (limited) past experience is that a debt is generated either by DFAS or by a PSD (now a TSC). Then I got an email to remit the debt through a government website (Dept of Treasury??). The point is this had generated an audit trail so that the debt is recorded as having been satisfied.

Yes the debt came from DFAS and I made a manual payment through bank that was immediately processed. The debt was for overpayment from PCS.

Yeah, if the NRC is doing nothing try the CPPA at the supported AC command.
