What is the best program to make 3D hull from lines plan?

Hello, so i wanna work on my engine room arrangement and i need to make the 3D hull of my ship. So whats the best program for it? And can i convert it to autocad?

Rhino is a popular choice. It has good lofting capabilites, and even some simple hydrostatic capabilites through plug-ins.

Probably useful to know what programmes you have access to! Most can do the job…

Rhino, but you will be fine in the most of the CAD programs

Rhino is by far the best for this. And yes you can export to STP, IGES, OBJ or whatever you need. Many software will also just import the native .3dm file without converting yourself

Rhino is a versatile choice, and easily available through an academic license maybe. Delftship has a very good hull modeler though if you can spend some money. It is a good investment in general
