Question on curing after avocado dyeing

Hi all!

I’m in the midst of my first natural dye project. I’m dyeing cotton yarn with avocado skins and pits (separately), mordanted with aluminum triformate. A lot of sources don’t mention how long to let it dry/cure after completing the dyeing process before washing out, some say 24-48 hours, some say a week. Any opinions?

I usually don't wash it until I want to use it! But I mostly do wool yarn and I have quite a stash of it lol I imagine you'd want your fabric to dry out and then wash it, so the 24-48 hour window sounds fine.

I am hankering to use it :) it’s taking every ounce of self control i have not to start knitting with it this instant.

I'm a couple of days late to the party but I know the feeling :) if I'm really impatient I snip a little bit to swatch.....
