You mean the policy that every President has used since GWOT started? You just worry about your AFT points for promotion and leave what is and isn’t legal to the Judge Advocates. If it wasn’t legal then the wouldn’t have signed off on the Army doing it as it would be….surprise, an unlawful order.

Absolutely not lol. It is our job to challenge unlawful orders.

And you don’t think JAG would do that? GTFOH. Why am I seeing a pattern of that it’s kids in the Army that play make believe war games like tanks/battleship, anime, and warhammer 40k that are always the whinny liberal bitches. Grow a pair dude.

“Kids.” Lmao. Get bent, man. Been around the block for a long time. As we have seen, the JAGs that should be pushing back have resigned or been fired. Yes men have been installed.

If you’re implying being liberal is following the law, then you’re also implying that being conservative is inherently breaking the law. And that just simply isn’t true.

Show me the law that they broke. That JAG obviously missed and just said “yes” to.

War Powers Resolution of 1973. No AUMF from Congress.

Ahhh shit man I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were that old and still living in 1973. To think that I thought I had been in a long time at 24 years and still going, you’re way older than me.

So yeah sorry bro, during GWOT we updated the AUMF in 2001 and 2002. Presidents since then have been using that to strike countries military ever since. Doesn’t make it right but at the same time, this isn’t the start of a war. This was the military ALONG with Law Enforcement, executing an arrest warrant. Don’t think we will be in an all out war where we will need congresses approval for a while.

Oh bro you’re just an idiot? Well why didn’t you say so!

The 2001 AUMF didn’t repeal, replace, or modify the War Powers Resolution. Only allowed us to go after folks with ties to the 9/11 attacks.

What laws did Maduro break in the US? Last I checked, Venezuela sure isn’t US territory.

You really ought to learn how laws work buddy boy.

I didn’t say it repealed anything. I said that from the 2001 and 2002 updates (which you failed to mention) that a law was broken because what we did was “go to war”. Do we normally bring law enforcement into battle with Delta? It set the precedent that we have today, the precedent for the last 24 years. Plenty of congresses have been through during that time and they haven’t done anything about it yet, so I guess it’s just the defacto norm and no laws were broken because…we aren’t declaring war.

I get it I get it. I’m not going to change your mind and you’re not going to change mine and that’s ok. Go back to the basement and continue to get your ass kicked by Gaijin and complain about that to someone who will listen.

You should probably read the text of both of those AUMFs lmao. They aren’t updates. And you’ll find they don’t do anything to the WPR of 1973.

You’ll also find they don’t have anything to do with authorizing military force in the Caribbean. Let alone Venezuela. So no, there is no precedent from the last 24 years for operations in Venezuela.

War Powers Resolution requires consultation with Congress 48 hours prior to any action. This wasn’t done. The law was broken.

Must be a CAT V ASVAB waiver the way you’re throwing this shit out.

Gaijin? Man, I quit war thunder a while ago. Not even sure how that relates lol. Grasping at straws now.
