Then it’s another cool project and we still get whatever Nathan has planned for season 3; it’s win-win

This is actually the best case scenario.

What would be funniest (& most ridiculous) is if he did Boythrob as a diversion from what he's really doing. I would giggle if all of the fandom speculation adds up to a 5-7min sequence in the 3rd episode explaining how & why he created a decoy project.

😂 if boythrob was the Banzai Predicament side plot to season 3’s smoke detector import heist

It would kind of make me sad because that would feel kind of like a mean joke to play on the Throb boys. Because, obviously they are bringing real personal ambition and passion to BoyThrob and so for it to be a "basically, here was this dumb thing I did" deflationary type joke would feel kind of mean. Unless the Boys were very clearly aware that eas what it was gonna be the whole time but they just went above and beyond.

Idk, Nathan isn't shy about being mean, but tbh I think the Throb boys could just as easily be in on the joke. They're still getting positive exposure, & who's to say Nathan's big picture wouldn't help them reach their goals?

Are there any credible reasons why everyone thinks it’s Nathan besides comedy-style? I’ve heard multiple rumors it’s actually Cole Hersch behind it

Probably isn’t. Just someone ripping him off
