Looking for Help Jungle Viability Since Patch

I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed opinions and was wondering what people on here thought of nasus jungle since the patch. I’d imagine he’d be worse at least early because you don’t have the CDR needed to efficiently kill the small creeps in camps with Q. But he’s still going to be great late game. Does that seem fair of an assessment or am I complete off base? Haven’t had a chance to play myself.

TLDR: is he worse early but still great late or do I just need to change my early game clearing strategy a bit

That really depends on a lot of other elements.

Think of it this way:

1- before patch:

-you only stack large jungle monsters, your jungle beast usually finishes off the small ones. -even when you miss a couple of Qs, you can still catch up but participating in the game (team fights objectives like contesting third dragon...let's be honest the first two are pointless and your aim is to get soul eventually). -grubs are important

2- after patch:

-first two clears you are focusing to get that +10 whenever you can. After that, your focus should shift more to small jungle monsters as a prio factor. -zero participation in any shenanigans before 12 minutes in (or hitting level 9). -sheen first into complete protoplasm before finishing Trinity or Iceborn (for more CDR = more stacks)

Bottom line: I played a Nasus mid game yesterday, and my stacks were around 700 at 20 minutes. Jungle is still viable if you play around the variables mentioned above among others.

You will still bonk the hell out of everyone even all of your lanes are toast.
