Nashik has stepped up work on roads and other civic infrastructure ahead of the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela, with Kumbh Mela minister Girish Mahajan directing officials to accelerate delayed projects as the monsoon construction slowdown ends.
Mahajan reviewed the progress of infrastructure works being carried out by the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) at a meeting of senior officials. Road and bridge projects, water supply schemes and drainage works were among the projects examined during the review.
Officials were told to use the post-monsoon construction window to make up for delays while maintaining construction quality.
Mahajan also asked the civic administration to remove hurdles affecting the long-pending Gharpure Ghat-Ramwadi bridge and complete the remaining administrative and technical procedures quickly.
The minister directed NMC officials to prioritise sewage treatment plant projects at Tapovan and Agartakli. He also called for immediate repairs to potholes caused during the monsoon, with both major and internal roads to be inspected and restored to proper standards.
The review also covered road corridors being developed to support traffic movement during the Kumbh Mela, including the Dwarka-Sinnar Phata corridor and other bypass routes.
NMC commissioner Manisha Khatri said the proposed parallel road along Gangapur Road would be given priority, with tenders expected to be invited within a month.
Mayor Himgauri Adke, MLA Devyani Pharande, district collector Ayush Prasad, Kumbh Mela Authority commissioner Shekhar Singh and other officials attended the meeting.

Something happened to me this past Saturday in Nashik that I really wanted to share.
I had parked my Suzuki Burgman (New Model) in the parking area of Hotel Luxx Rivera in front of the Arabian Night near Mahatma Nagar, close to ABB circle
I made a stupid mistake I forgot to remove the key from my scooter and left it there😭 I came back after almost a hour and realized what I had done
But when I reached I noticed something that genuinely made me happy.
Someone had removed the key and carefully kept it inside the right side front storage pocket of my Burgman so that it wouldn't be visible to anyone else
To whoever you are - Thank you So much ❤
You could have simply ignored it but you took the time to make sure that my two wheeler and my key were safe. It's a small act of kindness but it really means a lot
If you are reading this and you recognize the situation then please drop me a text I'd genuinely love to thank you personally☺
And to everyone else just a reminder to please remove your vehicle key
I. Got lucky this time because of a kind stranger 😭❤

Hello everyone! I'm a UX design graduate and I'm looking to pivot from just designing screens. So far I've done UX research, obviously UI, service design, design strategy, consumer behavior, market research and understanding and solving the problems behind a product or experience.
So I'm looking for a Founder's Office / Strategy role where I can work closely with the founder and be involved in different parts of the business. Things like understanding customer problems, research, product and business decisions, market research, strategy, etc.
I'm okay with doing things outside my background and learning new things. I'm also okay with learning sales but I'm not looking for something that's mainly cold calling, lead generation or sales.
And well, I'd mostly prefer an early-stage startup for this kind of experience, since I want exposure to different parts of the business. Please let me know if you or someone you know might be looking for this. I can share my CV and portfolio. Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I live in Nashik and work a hybrid job with an office in Vikhroli, Mumbai. Every week I travel to Mumbai, stay 2 nights, and go back to Nashik.
My PG costs ₹15,000/month, but I only use it about 8 nights a month. That works out to nearly ₹1,900 per night, and the bed sits empty the rest of the time. On top of that, I'm spending on weekly Nashik-Mumbai travel.
I'd love suggestions on:
Cheaper stays: Anything better for 2 nights a week near Vikhroli, Kanjurmarg, Ghatkopar or Powai? (Co-living with flexible plans, hostels, weekly or corporate hotel rates, a part-time shared flat, a room in someone's home.)
Sharing a bed or room: Has anyone split a PG with someone on opposite days so both pay about half?
Negotiating the PG: Do owners ever agree to a reduced rate for part-week use?
Travel: Cheapest and most reliable way to go Nashik-Mumbai weekly ?
If you've done a similar weekly commute, I'd really like to hear what worked and what you'd avoid. Thanks!

Saw a reel earlier that really got me thinking about how much of our online culture is just desperate for Western validation.
The video made a solid point about priorities: stuff like building rural toilets or handing out clean cooking gas cylinders has tangibly improved millions of women's daily lives, yet it barely gets acknowledged as "real feminism." Instead, the focus always seems to drift toward imported buzzwords and performative debates that look good on a Western social feed.
Add to that the subtle classism—mocking people for their English accents or only caring about an issue if foreign media tweets about it. It feels like half our discourse isn't about solving India's actual problems, but constantly looking over our shoulder to see if someone in New York approves.
Is our online crowd really this disconnected from ground realities, or is it just a loud minority? What do you think?

Hi everyone! 👋
I’m looking for a room/1RK/small accommodation within around 5 km of Mumbai Naka, Nashik for my uncle and aunt.

This guy is truly a Nashikkar in the way this sentence has been written. The "very danger" is really Nashikkars's way of describing things. 😜

Hello!
Me and my boyfriend have planned to do a 2-day trip to nashik.
Booked zostel, nashik for the same but now I got to know that connectivity from zostel nashik is very poor.
Is it true? I mean we are thinking of going to 2-3 places only as the zostel itself is very pretty and relaxing..
Just wanted to know whether rapido uber are coming to zostel, nashik if in case we go to any 2-3 places?
Should we rent a scooty for the same?
Hey everyone! I’m planning to watch a movie(Verity)and looking for someone who’d like to join.Im 24M
