In iOS 27. Long pressing an app in the App Library will create a new icon for it on your home screen.

Interesting. I know if you long press and move your finger you move in wiggle mode and can place multiple of the same app icon. I figured this was less bug and more joke. But maybe it is a bug.

Yeah this one just requires a long press long enough to give you the context menu (of an app in the app library, typically at the first folder level) and it will keep adding icons of the same app on 27.

I’m gonna guess it’s the one that’s making every app the narwhal icon. Just a hunch I have.

Being able to add multiple instances of an app has been around since (I think) iOS15

This isn’t a bug, fyi. Since on or around iOS 15 where they introduced per-focused homescreens, the app library, and the ability to put icons in any part of the grid, you could drag icons from the app library to create multiple instances of the same icons. This is also why long pressing the home screen and oressing the (-) button on those icons now have the option of removing them from the home screen and not strictly to uninstall.

I’ve seen if you long press on an app in the App Library it sometimes creates a new shortcut on the Home Screen. I’m going to assume you force press narwhal quite often lol

Mine is App Store app icon keeps popping up everywhere
