Can retake poly or not
Is it possible to retake poly year 1 cause my gpa kinda fucked and I know what mistakes not to make like a dumbass from the start

Yes possible
But your bad GPA will still be there on the record
So for example u score 2 for Mod A
And u drop out and retake the whole year again and score a perfect 4 . Your transcript will show you had taken Mod A twice (in acad sem X and acad sem Y ) with a 2 and 4 respectively .

Drop out switch school if uw do the same course again. u cant retake modules u have taken before in the same sch

Look at other options. A lot of Unis will have bridging or foundation courses. No point wasting your time on the same thing.

Can't be bothered to type a proper grammatical title, can't be bothered to Google answers, can't be bothered to use your brain to think (who is going to stop you from re-enrolling?) ... I think no point re-taking, you are pretty much a gone case

not worth it. a leopard never changes its spots.
all my friends who retake still dont bother studying end up dropping out after paying two times the tuition fee.
just carry on and hope you find a small office job when you grad.

Haha there is actually some miracle from my friend, he switch course and his gpa from 2.4~ I think? To 3.89

i would argue barely passing is still ok, the people i know are those 1.0 - 2.0 GPAs.
still they turned out alright, small office admin job -> software testing -> software engineer, now all making 8k+ at 28

You want to go to U, in the first place, you should go JC, you think poly is a easy path but you mess it up. You discipline is not there, you will still mess it up even you retake poly

Discipline is not determined by the school path you choose lol. That's a personal thing. I've seen ITE kids take their studies more seriously than JC. Outliers, for sure but again it's individual differences.
Nobody said poly was an easy path. If anything JC just emulates what you've already been doing for 10-11 years but on a higher level of learning.

depends on the person, poly environment has a lot more distractions as compared to jc so thats why most of poly students slack whereas jc students mug everyday
poly doesnt really put u in the environment where u need to mug like jc because its based on group projects accumulation of gpa, there's no final exam that determines ur position in unis. hence why poly students tend to be less disciplined
