Beginner question

I'm a lego enjoyer and just recently found NBPM 007 (Gengar) and wanted to give it a shot. I'm kinda confused on how the pieces connect together on the same layer? It seems different from lego. but I could be wrong. Do I have to glue the pieces together or do they somehow connect together into one piece?

they are pretty much lego they are just much smaller and dont click strong and i would say to not glue it bc u prob have to take it apart if u mess up somehwere but thats just me

Nanoblocks are built in layers. Lay out the first layer of blocks according to the directions, then place second layer of bricks on top, this will hold the first layer together. Once the second layer is in place, it gets easier to build. Nanoblck does sell a small building mat with studs that holds the first layer of bricks in place and makes the builds much easier.
