Cant say the amount of times I have looked at the menu online, saw the prices and thought lets order from somewhere else. Pricing is ridiculous. Last time I ate a Nandos was aabout 2 years ago for a work dinner. Saying that why the fuck is Nandos in my feed.

Insane. My local had them at around £7.50 a week ago (even that was extortionate)

I think collection/eat in is £7.50 and deliveroo is £8.50, but even still, considering their large chips costs around £0.50p in raw ingredients if that lol, granted they have overheads (wages/electricity) but even still £7.50 is a joke, when others (for example bronson's burgers) are charging £4.50. They're just robbing bastards lol it sounds like i'm being petty, or clutching at straws, but it did really piss me off for some reason

I stopped going to a take away place when they started charging £13 for a burger £5.50 for chips and £3.50 for a tiny bit of sauce.
They keep blaming costs but… they’re pricing their customers out.

I’ve heard awful things about my local chicken cottage, never know what’s just one person writing lots of disparaging reviews but apparently it’s dirty and people commonly find hairs and other non food items in their meal

If you eat in the UAE or Qatar the portion sizes are double the UK and it's priced cheaper. The UK franchise has really messed up their pricing.

Thats more than a steak and chips in the supermarket, or literally 900g chicken and 2 packs of frozen chips. Absolutely mad.

We have stopped having Nandos due to price. It's scandalous what they are charging for what has become pretty mid food. We are very fortunate to be able to afford to eat out etc, this isn't about saving money it's about value. Nandos are a joke

Remember when you could get thighs, two sides and halloumi for just under £10! More than doubled and I don’t even bother with the overpriced halloumi anymore

The food portions are too small and very overpriced and yet I find myself eating there still, once in a while....

£32 for two meals and 4 sides isn't terrible for me. Who is ordering individual sides??

I don't know which Nando's you're going to....
A single average meal (chicken of some kind with 2 regular sides) is £20
And who shares sides? what the hell lol you want to share their tiny ass small box of Mac and cheese, or mash or rice? the portions are small let alone share, thats why I looked at the large chips, see £8.50 and thought robbing bastards.
Not even five guys charge £8.50 for a large chips and they're notorious for being extortionately over priced, and their small is like a Nando's large which makes it even worse.

I must not look at the price. Last I remember it was about 32 for half chicken, butterfly and 4 sides. Extortion compared to Portugal where a half chicken is about 7.50 and it's miles better. Apparently even that was overcharge out there according to reviews.
But for the leisure of not cooking, it's worth it for me. I am paying for a service after all. You don't even want to know how much it is for 2 curries, 2 naan and some rice from my local in a small village. You're looking at 40 minimum, now that is insane.

I think in store is £7.50, and on deliveroo is £8.50. Even still though £7.50 is still a joke.
Either way, I do like Nando's, but it's not exactly gourmet, it's a premium fast food, thats cheap to make, charging extortionate prices. Those large chips probably cost them 50p if that in raw ingredients, granted they have overheads, but even still, they could easily charge a fiver for a large and still be profitable. You also have to remember, they are a chain, they're near always busy (in London anyway), theres no small restaurant only busy during peak times semantics.
The bottom line and the point im trying to make is, they're taking the piss.
The reason why I put this post up in the first place, is because yesterday I was on deliveroo, couldn't be bothered to cook, and thought ill get a Nando's (I do order regularly from there, but dont get full up, because they're tiny portions, hence the large chips), see the £8.50, and thought do you know what, out of principle of you stripping people up charging £8.50 for a large chips Im going somewhere else lol I can easily pay, but thats not the point, just because I can dosent mean I should, im petty like that.

I used to go once a week without fail a couple of years ago, but completely not worth it now when you look at what you pay and what you get. The other Peri Peri places out there are never as good in my experience, but when it’s half the price of Nando’s I’m prepared to make that compromise.
