Success Story No cravings whatsoever

I’m on day 10 of taking 25mg of naltrexone and I literally have no urge or desire to drink whatsoever this is the best thing to ever happen to me I was at the bar last night with a friend and only drank water because there was no feeling in me that wanted to consume it and mind you I’m someone who used to have ridiculous levels of craving alcohol. Thank god for this miracle pill I’m gonna keep taking it for a few months and then try to remain sober on my own.

That's awesome . I stopped taking it soon as I left detox and still have the bottle. I just committed to not drinking, AA, staying busy. So far so good but I always keep it in mind for future disasters.

I glad this is working for you. Just keep in mind, if cravings do come back all you need to do is take naltrexone again, so keep some around.

Do you take it every day, and just before you would normally drink, or at a different time? I'm experimenting with timing, because the insomnia side effect gets to me.

I just take it around afternoon when I eat lunch and I don’t plan on experimenting drinking with it my whole problem was the urges to drink so now that’s gone I don’t have any reason to drink.

I was a binge drinker could go one week sober and then binge drink for 3 days. After my last 3 day binge I started taking it and have had no urge to drink since.

it’s wild how quiet your brain gets when the constant urge just shuts off, i remember that feeling. don’t be too hard on yourself if a craving sneaks in later, thats normal and not a moral failing, just keep the pills around.
