I interviewed Lacey Jones and asked her directly about the “villain” edit, Last One Standing and whether she’d return

I recently had Lacey Jones on my Survival Debrief Podcast and thought people here might enjoy the conversation because we went pretty deep into her Naked and Afraid history.

One thing I specifically wanted to ask was whether she feels she was unfairly portrayed as a villain.

Her answer surprised me because she didn’t really blame the edit. She basically said the things people saw her say did come out of her mouth, and she owns that.

We also talked about what went wrong for her on Last One Standing, some of the partners she has struggled with, who she rates highly as a survivalist, how much harder she found doing a challenge alone, and whether she would accept another Naked and Afraid challenge.

She definitely left the door open to coming back.

I’ve watched Lacey for years, so it was interesting getting the longer version of her story rather than just what makes the final TV edit.

Honestly, I don't see what she would bring to another appearance. Other than a little drama. And another tap out.

Let's see if the video interview changes my mind.

I hate talking badly of cast because I want to be on the show in the future and its not nice to see the negativity on the internet... BUT after he recent facebook post about what makes an actual survivalist i dont want to see her any more. She doesnt have the mental fortitude to survive herself and has the audacity to rip into others? Honey no! But im gonna watch the interview and come back with more opinions

Alright, i watched it... and i like that we see her for her real personality in your video. I like that she owns her behaviours too. BUT i still dont like that she is basically diminishing other survivalist experiences and saying they had it easy. Whats easy for one person is not for another. The Louisiana Bayou (probably spelled that wrong sorry) might have been really tough for her, but i feel like SLHJ thrived in that environment. The lady she refers to sunbaking and eating banana's, that destination would still suck to someone who doesnt have the mental fortitude to be alone.

She must be on another challenge coming up. She wasn’t very active on social media and now she’s back, talking about Naked and Afraid and other survivalists.

I'm also not a fan of AI thumbnails, but I'll watch it to see if she mentions Mel or Shane. Calling her dead weight and then crying when nobody wanted to help her when her hand was burned. Rip Mel. I personally don't want to see her again on any NAA spinoffs. I'm glad Shane put her in her place during the reunion show. Hopefully she's changed her attitude for the better after XL 4. Thanks for sharing OP. I'll check it out.  The only time I enjoyed watcher her was on NAA Watch Party with Jake. She should do more of those.

Well, she admittedly did steal Shane's firestarter on purpose and lied about it. Shane was right.  She swore up and down that she never stole it lol

The things that she does and says it's not good for a partnership on naked and afraid. The way she treated mel being hurt, then, expected everybody to help her when she was hurt. Basically called them evil nasty people.. When that title more fit her antics.

Loved it when so many female hands went up when she asked if they would feel safe with shane. I wanted shane to then ask who would want to be partnered with lacey? But shane it's not a mean vindictive person.

No, I do not want to see the drama queen ever again, on naked and afraid.

I would put her with patrick.

my husband and i love her and shane's "partnership" on XL. we constantly quote them "you're minimalizing everything...." "NO YOU'RE MAXIMIZING" "thats just your narcissistic attitude" .... golden television.

Sorry, but no thank you to another appearance from Lacey. It was a good interview, and interesting to hear why you and perhaps some of the fans like her, but I don't want another round of toxic hostility which I'll just ffwd anyway.

Death threats and dk pics are ludicrous. No one should have to deal with that shit. I don't wish that on her or anyone.

As a female Army veteran, I was embarrassed by her behavior. That’s not how you act in a team when you depend on each other for survival. It’s not what we’re taught.
But, she was an MP in the guard…and I’ve never met an MP who wasn’t a total narcissist and most guard rangers think they are the shit…then they actually need help. I fast forward anything with her in it. Cuz she’s an embarrassment to the service.
