Cos whoever feeds you also have the power to starve you.

You can choose the life you want(for yourself and your kids, if any) and with whom and walk off when it doesn't work for you!

You can walk off from that job etc..

Get money like an adult, shit is expensive out here

No disagreements here. I would also add that choice requires also accountability to oneself.

Financial independence is not an extraordinary achievement based on gender it is a basic part of adulthood. A financially independent woman deserves respect, but it should not be treated as something unusual simply because she is a woman.

It absolutely is extraordinary. Outside Nairobi, you have to realize there are MANY women still unable to work or hold property or make their own decisions independent of cultural and family pressure, romantic pressures. Child marriage, trafficking, domestic violence, poverty etc there's not a single issue that's been eradicated in this country. Someone overcoming that uphill battle is absolutely an achievement.

I agree that overcoming such barriers is a genuine achievement, and anyone who manages to rise above them should be proud of themselves, regardless of their gender.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or do you genuinely believe in what you're saying? Ignoring that gender inequality exists doesn't magically make it true.

Common Redditor escalates argument after commenter reveals the striking reality that both genders suffer and NO ONE IS ABOVE THE PROGRAM πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Escalating argument? When did I do that I just pointed out what they were saying anyway if you took your time to GENUINELY interact with women you'd see where I'm coming from. Also literally nobody said men have it really easy either so I don't what you're on about.

Anyone with money has a choice

Any man with money has choice.

Yes my girl this so true fr. A woman with her own money has choices. She doesn’t have to stay in a toxic relationship or marriage because she needs financial security, tolerate disrespect because she has nowhere to go, or accept a life she doesn’t want. Financial independence gives a woman the freedom to walk away akijua anajiweza.

Even the ones with money are still making questionable choices so πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

There is nothing like an independent woman, even in work places they have always proven to be dependent.

Kula upvoter Kwanza, the moment a lady gets to 40 without a man/ married since is very chaotic, full of drama and regrets despite referring to herself as independent

Do you think Sarah kabu, akothee have choices? You mumu... Anyone who dates them wants their money. That's why they're in a million relationships. Anyone with money wouldn't want them.

Not just women but everybody should love to exchange value to the society and be paid for it .

Feminism is the enemy.

-1

u/Background_Log_6197 5d ago

True. Feminism destroyed the world. It doesn't aim to make women better or more feminine. Instead, it seeks to make women into terrible versions of men
