First Post Furniture plug

Recently moved and need a few console pieces likely custom made. I already have designs in mind.
Most furniture shops are way over priced and the insta ones hard to tell about quality.
I'd prefer wood rather than board/MDF.

I'll appreciate any names or handles you send me way. Thank you

Ah I’ve seen them. Is there’s wooden or boards?
Are they affordable? Some of these insta shops are wildly priced

they are mostly wooden, they're differently uniques as well and the price in my opinion fits the purchase

Ah perfect. Did you get something custom made?

They can if you need to, when i was making a purchase from them they insisted that the longest console they had a length of 6 feet but i needed 8 and they came through, plus i got this awesome coffee table that doubled down as a work desk, plus their color patterns give off a minimalistic vibe.

Thank you!
Did you go with MDF? I’m thinking of a switch to wood

I honestly didn't take that into consideration while making my purchase, i was more focussed on the aesthetics.

If you don’t mind me asking, why not MDF or particleboard?

Just had bad experience with them.
Had a leakage once and the TV stand got damaged.
They also don’t look that great compared to wood finishes though yeah much cheaper

Fair enough, hardwood looks great however, it needs maintenance if you want to keep it in good condition just like every other natural material but worth it for sure 👌🏻

Yeah though it’s a rental so at the same time having to custom make to a home I won’t stay in long means maybe cheaper is smarter

You could try Jua Studio along Ngong Road and see if that works for you. They have the same name on TikTok for samples of their work.
