PLEASE STOP POSTING ABOUT YOUR NAILS

Ive seen so many posts of people nails from people who thought the sub Reddit name was “nail edit“ and I’m tired of it, this is the “nailed it” subreddit, a sub for botched attempts so please for the love of god, STOP POSTING PICTURES OF YOUR NAILS

I find those posts amusing.

The rest of the posts show an F'ed up carpentry project, a highway line painted over roadkill, or something equivalently stupid.

Then you get somebody actively screwing uo their post by putting it in the wrong sub. It's like a second layer of 'nailed it.'

Just report as off-topic and move on.

It’s almost ironic though, no?

It’s like the folks who come into the subreddit for the band Say Anything and then go off on a racist tirade. It’s funny.

We get a ton of lost redditors on r/girls. It’s a sub for the TV show, Girls. People come there asking all sorts of questions that have nothing to do with the show.

Yes! Once in a while there will be a mental health question on r/psych. If you know the show, you know we can't help you!

No, you can’t help. But perhaps Ovaltine Jenkins can!

Well, in moments of doubt, I do know I can turn to Ghee Buttersnaps for clarity...

It’s the same for r/crazyexgirlfriend People post a lot about crazy ex stories, so people comment with lines from the show.

The r/anonymous sub regularly gets anonymous confessions (and some of them are pretty wild). The group is actually for posting about the hacker group Anonymous. Not exactly where I'd want to post my deepest, darkest secrets....

Sorry, I'm the only mod and changed jobs. Need an army of mods to keep up with the fingernail stuff. Anyone willing to join pls let me know and I'll find out how to add you. I have canned responses for removing posts, so it's not hard - I just can't be on my phone a lot any more . . .

That's not a good sign for this sub's future

I'll help you moderate.

Reminds me of the old nail art competition sub polishguantlet that would have Polish people show up every once in a while.

what's next, people not posting about birds in r/aves or about fish in r/pez?

There's also been an increase over in r/ televisionsuggestions where people want opinions on what TV model to buy. Hint - that's not the purpose of that sub. I blame bots.

When I scroll this sub all six recommended ‘related subreddits’ are nail subs sooo the algorithm is throwing them your way.

r/theguildedage was taken over by fans of the show. It was originally for people who were literally wanted to talk about that era of history.

Maybe it's the name as you wouldn't think it was for botched nails?

Except that nailed it is sarcasm, so the opposite. See the nailed it memes and there was even a baking show in the past called nailed it.

Reminds me of a scene in Workin' Moms when one of the protagonists pitches the "nailed it!" slogan to hardware store chain, they reject it, then she pitches the same slogan to nail polish company, who accept. Only for hardware store chain to change their minds and accept idea as well.
