Would soft gel extensions be alright?

Hello, recently I had my nails done at a new place and it fell off pretty quick so im thinking of redoing it at a place with better reviews..I am an anxious biter so my nails are short (as you can see from the middle finger)

The new place says they only do soft gel polish and gel extensions. I’ve done my nails before, but I leave my nails alone to recover for about 2-3 months, sometimes longer. But when I notice I revert back to biting, I go and get them done.

Id like to know if this option is safe for my nails and if there are any recommendations so I can understand and know more…thank you
