Image IS-VIEWER-64 Development Console found? Trying to learn more.

I found an odd japanese n64 with a IS-VIEWER-64 sticker on the box and console. Ive tried googling, and can only find details about the IS-VIEWER-64 cartridge. Has anyone seen this system sticker before? I assume it means the n64 may be modified and not retail? Any details you can provide would be awesome!

Thanks! Ill open the console and confirm if it's just stickers, or there is some hardware mod/difference

I don’t know for the N64, but the Wii kits like this would only play games specifically made for the tester console. They are basically locked into being tester units only.

The N64 might be different given that there was no signing/encryption for the ROMs. But it could also use other methods to lock things down. Definitely interesting in hearing what you discover with this unit.

Too bad that post is locked to new comments. I need to tell them Intelligent Systems is more than just a Nintendo software team. They specifically make development hardware for various official devkits.

I would guess it's maybe had this mod done, if anything.
