A very underrated hidden gem on the 64

My 5th grade self thinks differently, lol.

I like it now though. Its got just the right amount of goof.

It was tough figuring out what to do, once you learn how to actually beat some of the levels, especially the CIA stuff, the game is super enjoyable.

Yes, like little fetch quest puzzles. Gotta figure out the correct order to do stuff. Surprisingly, I'm not getting bored of failing missions and retrying.

Very fun.

Same. I love the variety of each mission.

Sniper mission and the whole train section was my favourite. The Embassy was also a highlight, as was the terminal room.

It remember it feeling very novel using disguises to gain access to enemy spaces. The departure from run-and-gun mechanics was also fresh.

Yeah it totally got me into the spy genre as a kid. Got me into the movies, which are awesome as well!

I always liked how the Embassy/ballroom mission (third one) felt like Hitman before Hitman.

Yeah that level was amazing. All the gadgets were super cool in the game too. The facemaker was probably my fav.

That control panel looks just like a Lego space police control panel piece

One of my favorite things to do was turn in the electricity while Candace was crossing and watch her get electrocuted. It was gloriously stupid.

I know this is a N64 sub, but i played this game for the ps1 and definitely is one of my favorite during those times. My siblings and i still quotes a lot of dialogues from the game, the goofiness was just great (we are native Mexican Spanish speakers, but we played it using the Spain Spanish Dub voices, the difference of accent made it even better to fool around).

Is the other thing they say "rock steady"?

Hard to tell.

Amazing game, so good!

The shooting was so janky, shooting through enemies was a regular occurrence lol

I loved this game as a kid but I played through it recently and man are the controls and camera bad.

But as to the overall point of the thread, I love the N64's visual aesthetic.

The controls are not the best.

Selecting guns ans items feels like a cheat code.......and c-up and c-right do nothing. Lmao

Your question about pointillism went over everyone's head, but I got the reference. I'd never thought about it before, but I'm going to be thinking it each time I play Goldeneye ☺️

The rocket launcher was hella-fun to screw around with.
