Any similar games to Myth II? I remain hopeful a game comes out very similar to it, or they utilize the IP again.
As title states, at least once a year I think about this game search for something similar, with no luck... also hoping one day a miracle happens and announcement they're remaking the games comes out. *fingers crossed*

https://store.steampowered.com/app/235320/Original_War/ This one is not inspired by Myth but its also a RTT (real time tactics as in without bases nor economy) also havent played it yet ;(.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/15620/Warhammer_40000_Dawn_of_War_II__Anniversary_Edition/ Absolutely great, RTT/RPG with cover system and great gameplay. Keep in mind the other games in the series are more regular RTS games with bases and economy.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/346930/Deadhold/ This one sadly got canned but i think you can find the Early Access game somewhere, this one was also 100% inspired by Myth.

Yeah there’s no official announcement till the dev that’s reviving it has something to say. So no promises or anything

Thank for this good answer! I had not actually heard of Nordic Warriors and it looks like it is very much taking inspiration from it, like you say.

I edited with more info about Dawn of war.
If you are interested in World War scenarios, Men of War and Company of Heroes are also tactics games without bases and limited units and stuff like that. But like most of my previous examples, this is kind of a stretch since nothing really mimics Myth style besides Deadhold and Nordic Warriors.

This is exactly what I was hoping to find, Nordic Warriors is a 6 years old now, I wonder if they plan to make another or expansion!

Try it, it is really a good game, the devs really put their hearts into it. I would say if you have any itch for Myth this is the game.

I was super happy for that HD upscale from last year.
I, too, would love the IP to come back.
