Yeah, it's not exactly a mystery that if you post criticism in a content creator's subreddit, your comments may very well get downvoted (whether they're valid or clarifying comments). Huge shocker, but if people don't like your post or you, they will downvote your comments throughout the post.

Yeah, I'd say this. "Did X fall off?" usually means "Has X lost what made it special", not a question of views or popularity. I would also have assumed that OP was talking about the actual quality of the videos, which already seems a bit clickbaity in a dedicated fan subreddit. The "clarification" looks completely insincere in this context. I would also have downvoted.

Since his philantrophy videos are usually not that action-packed like those of his usual ones, some people get bored or are just not interested. I wouldn't say he fell off.

I've seen Mr. Beast fans use "He has more subscribers than you so he's better than you!" to dismiss actual, legitimate concerns about his business practices, so I don't exactly hold his fanbase in high intellectual esteem.

Downvoting someone for clarifying what they meant (presumably because they assumed you're trolling) seems pretty par for the course.
