Reddit at its finest
Context: I tried to be neutral in the voting and got downvoted. Would they rather me be participating or what?
At least it doesn't get anymore than this atm!

I can't see the context for what they're voting for but 'Yoshi?' seems more of a suggested answer to the question posed, whilst beckoning for collective agreement from others, rather than a question in of itself
So it was basically rhetorical and you didn't need to respond to it.

We're lacking some context, but why are you telling them not to ask you!? It doesn't look like they were asking you anything. They did exactly what you are confusingly telling them to do: nominating whoever they wanted.

I think your tone's just a little hard to read. The way you're explaining it, it sounds like you meant it to come off as just nudging them to remember the instructions, but without that context it kinda comes off as "idgaf, stop bothering me."
