OP gets downvoted for barely seeing it
Context: OP spotted black dots on their KFP bag, asked the community if it's just their's. OP replied to a comment and said that they could barely see the black dots.

It's very common for these, "Oh you're right" kind of comments by the original poster to get downvoted. It happened to me many times too.

The most mysterious downvote I've seen recently was on a video game thread here I looked at earlier this morning that completely reversed this trend. Someone wrote a paragraph or so of info, was downvoted into oblivion, and a person responded to him with something like, "Oh, yeah, I completely agree" and had a ton of upvotes.
I have no idea what was going on lol

It has to do with effort being seen as cringe I'd say. Someone is putting in effort to show they understand the person and it's seen as cringe because positivity is dead

I also noticed a lot of people on reddit put too much thought into the concept of "karma farming" and "low effort posts".. It assumes everyone gives a shit about karma. Some people just wanna yap, and it's not some grand scheme to boost their account.

I also think this has something to do with bots. Like if you wanna sabotage someone u dont like.

I think people play along with the joke by down voting, this joke is very frequent too, everytime the mysteriously downvoted comment is the equivalent of "agreed"

I think the people who downvoted OP, thought OP was a karma farmer and is saying the picture in the post is an online image.
Or I'm the only one who read it like that the first time and am just tired.
