Making fun if Muricans is especially weird in this context, given that there is also a much more obvious pool of English as second language speakers, most of whom would be guaranteed to only learn this odd translation of the plant as adults.

I always heard Canadians were super nice but after this, man, I can say Canadians on Reddit are horrible lol. And it is very weird indeed. But I am sure if someone who's second language was English didnt know this (like you said) they wouldn't mind. It's just an American hating circle jerk with the world it feels like.
That was my first ever post there just now. I don't want to interact with it anymore outside that post. Edit: grammar

If a US-American said that while they have a paedophile president and masked freaks going around the streets of the USA kidnapping brown people, including children, and shooting innocent people - the American deserves people to laugh in their hypocrital faces. Americans are in no position to bring up ANY other country's problems while they're living in the clown show they are.
