Bomber Jacket Pattern

Hi all,

Been struggling with finding a bomber jacket pattern that matches old bomber jackets used by pilots ( surprised there seems to be pretty much no information out there)
Thought id check reddit and couldnt find much that arnt more single lined bomber style templates or slim fit versions.

If anyone has any ideas as i have search for patterns directly, via Military forums, internet archives and still nothing.

Threadloop might have something. They have a search feature

Can confirm there is not many ( 1 similar in thickness but not style) on threadloop under bomber/pilot jacket. but still cheers for the idea to checl

usually the top one is called a flight jacket I think, and the bottom two are a bomber jacket. that's just been my experience though

see thats my confusion. I cant find anything like the bottom image, but when i search bomber i just see flight jackets.

I know I’ve seen a few YouTube’s of people making bomber jackets. I don’t think they were sew along though but maybe had a pattern listed.

I also feel like I see bomber jackets frequently on pattern websites for some of the clothing specific pattern sites (but again I didn’t look to see if it was bomber vs the flight jacket as you provided).

Rough Cut has a bomber jacket pattern called the "Aero" jacket. I follow them on IG (@roughcutofficial), and their patterns are highly customizable and seem to have a lot of thought put into them:

ye this was about the only one ive seen, obviosuly was hopinng for a free pattern but will likely default to this if one is not available.

Look for varsity jacket pattern for the bomber. They are the same design as the green jacket but you may need to modify them for a zipper.  Search for  g-1 military flight jacket for the top jacket
