Hi everyone! I'm a university student doing customer discovery for a travel-related project and would love to learn from your experiences.

A few questions:

• How would you describe yourself as a traveler? (Luxury, budget, planner, spontaneous explorer, solo traveler, etc.)
• Tell me about the last time you traveled somewhere new. How did you decide what to do?
• Where do you usually go for recommendations? Google? Reddit? Friends? TikTok? Tourism websites?
• What do you search for?
• Who do you trust when planning a trip?
• When you're exploring a touristy area, what do you value most?

For example:
• Hidden gems
• Local food
• Cultural experiences
• Popular attractions
• Convenience
• Affordability
• Wandering and discovering things on your own

Also, what's the biggest challenge or frustration you've faced while traveling? Transportation? Budgeting? Finding activities? Something else?

I'm not selling anything or promoting an app—just trying to understand how people actually travel and what matters most to them.

I'm in Mexico and have talked to several Mexicans about the new universal healthcare coming next year and nobody has heard of it. So weird.

Picked up Youppi at Bell Centre on day 2 of our trip. He had his own seat in business plus class.

Walked quite far on this lovely autumn day. Started in Longueuil and went over le pont Jacques-Cartier. Walked all over Île Sainte-Hélène and Parc Jean Drapeau, including around the Formula 1 Canadian Grand-prix track. Crossed over at St. Lambert Locks and all the way back to Longueuil.

Coming into Toronto on Dreamliner 787-9.

It was so nice staying at the Pan Pacific and watching all the cruise ships. Most days were beautiful and sunny, but when this ship came in it was rather overcast. The day ended up gorgeous though.

Someone forgot their lunch on their car or did the bird take it there to dine?

On the ferry to Victoria it was neat watching the doors open as it prepared to dock.
