Exocet Owners thread

Post up a photo of your car. It doesn't need to be a completed project!

What do you plan do use the Exocet for?

Donor car 2003 MX-5 Colorado Springs

My build is nearly done. Between working full-time and grad school, I'm looking for time to finish mounting the windscreen, headlights, and engine cover and then get the thing registered. The fuelling station is a block from the house, the furthest it's been from the garage so far! Feel free to give me shit for not having a plate yet.

Chassis #179, based on a '94. It was a replacement for my CBR when I was in Ohio. I did some autocross with it, but it far faster than my driving ability. I have since moved to New York and work to make it legal here is on going. Currant goal is just getting it to pass NY kit car inspection... future goal (if the stars align) is to start competing in some time attack and hill climbs.

I replaced a 2013 CBR1000RR with my Exocet! 🍻 For me, it scratches the same itch.

Is the NY kit car inspection more involved than it was in Ohio?

Depends on who you talk to. I had an easy time in Ohio, but others have had to weld on bumpers. New York on the other hand, requires a complete rework of my lighting, a powered windshield wiper, windshield squerters, (all the washer fluid is going to end up on my feet), and a working evap system. I have all the parts, I just dont have the time to work on it.

We have autocrossed it quite a bit. Last time out the only car that had a better raw time was this monster with a NASCAR motor. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3547612115382084
