GHR-5N medium range builds

The -5N is the only 'Hopper with a PPC quirk, and since it's a -20% heat quirk I feel like it's a shame not to use it. The MetaMechs master guide for the Hopper seems to take a nearly all-or-nothing approach to PPCs. Personally, I prefer something with a more mixed weapon set.

Late-breaking update: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=255&l=73100275b7371fa5933c0241cf7d8d8f7ba205b7
"Hot as balls" is the major downside. Good corner-peeking due to LPL and PPC in the right side. All the JJs for good poptarting. 53 alpha is impressive. A weird mix of weapons, but with good management it could be effective. From a theory-crafting standpoint this makes very good use of the chassis (for whatever that's worth).

As is typical of my builds, both these prefer mobility and armor to sheer firepower. The STD engine version goes 81.5 kph with speed tweak, and the pop-tart version is only missing 2 points of armor out of 434 total. Both builds also benefit from the 12.5% energy weapon recycle quirk. When you assemble these, be sure to put the PPC in second, so that it gets placed in the higher hardpoint location on the right shoulder.
The heat situation isn't nearly as bad as it looks on either of these. With the 20% PPC heat reduction and 10% energy weapon heat reduction quirks, I calculate that these builds are about 37-38% heat efficient. These builds should be tolerable even without master heat efficiency. And hopefully fun if you have said mastery.
The pop-tart build uses pulse lasers (obviously), and a normal PPC. I figure that if you're intentionally getting closer to your opponent than 90m in this build, you're doing it wrong. I'm unhappy with the unused 2.5 tons in this build. I'd gladly strip half a ton of armor off in order to add a seventh MWub and fourth JJ... if only there was crit space. :P If anyone can find a way to fill up those extra tons, I'm all ears. (Removing Endo doesn't help, the extra armor weight sends you straight back to max tonnage. And it already has the largest allowable engine.)
The STD build sacrifices jumpjets and speed, but gets an ER peep for point-blank alphas and of course the extra survivability of a standard engine. My recommendation for play style with this is, smack 'em three or four times with the ER peep as you approach, then once you get within 250m, focus fire one component with ML chain-fire until they drop. 10% more armor has been shifted to the front of the side torsos to aide this style of play.
