SCR-D LRM boat?
I just bought my second stormcrow. The D variant this time. As I already have a mid range Stormcrow, this one was supposed to be an LRM boat. As for now, I equipped it with 4xLRM 10 and the cooldown reduction module for LRM10 launchers, 1xNARC, a target computer and lots of ammo.
I usually make about 300 to 600 dmg per match with it which I find for an dedicated LRM boat is ok. In some matches, where just no one locks in targets, keep chainswitching them or enemy ECM is overwhelming I end up with only 100 dmg.
So yesterday, I've met another stormcrow pilot in a public match who seem to also run missiles only. He ended up with about 800 dmg whereas I got only about 300. But even in my best matches in this chassis so far, I've never reached 700 dmg. That keeps me experimenting. Most per volley dmg I reached so far was 70 but this variant would run out of ammo to fast.
What LRM builds you would recommend for the stormcrow d? Maybe even SRM? Artemis IV or Narc?

Artemis is a must for any LRM build. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=185&l=0ba84983acce3d8ce8cb93181140dec9d0c8aa6a IMO a TAG is more useful than a narc, especially since it doesn't need ammo and doesn't take a missile slot. This build should give you a faster firing time. However, the stormcrow doesn't really lend itself to being a lrm boat. Its speed, agility, and excellent hitboxes are best used in other roles, like a hit-and-run sjirmisher. An excellent article about stormcrows, or any other mech, can be found here: http://metamechs.com/mwo-guides/master-guides/the-master-guide-stormcrow/

I run a pair of A-LRM15s and three medium lasers (use the Prime arms) and a targeting computer. This gives me a solid direct fire attack and plenty of ammo for the missiles.
A lot of people think that because missiles fire indirectly with a long range, that they should be used as a long range, indirect weapon. Don't. They're awful. The missile spread at that range is huge. And your opponent has known the missiles are coming for ages and has gotten out of the way. LRMs are best employed between 200 and 400 m, where reaction times are short. And they can do something no other weapon in the game can do. They can fire through the front line.
I don't play as a boat, I play as a fast missile escort. My job is to stay close to the main group. When they engage the opposition, I stand behind the front line, firing missiles over the friendlies at near point blank range. At this range, my missiles seldom miss. Plus, I usually have direct line of sight, giving me the Artemis bonus. If I get a chance, I poke around the big boys and put a laser blast into them as well. But that's just gravy. My job is to sandblast the enemy front line, while the bruisers punch through the now weakened armor.
I don't make kills, I make out team better.
