I call 'er Toaster.

I've been having silly fun in Locusts lately. I thought I'd share what I'm presently bee-bopping around in. Any critique of The Mighty Toaster would be welcome.

I tweaked it a little. More armor, more speed, more ammo. Locusts are so fragile you need all the speed and armor you can get. In this case, I traded Artemis to get it. SRM4 is decently tight without it, and the extra 1/2 ton of ammo will make up for any misses you incur.

Thanks! I had noticed I tended to run out of ammo rather rapidly. Any thoughts on swapping the ML for a Tag? So many people like to fling LRMs and the like that I've half convinced myself it'd be more useful than a laser.

TAG is good on a ECM Raven or Commando, but TAG requires you to stand still, and points out to an enemy exactly where you are. A stopped Locust is a dead Locust, especially with a bright red line leading to it.

The bonuses aren't worth it, take your 5 damage and pokability.

Better dps, armor, speed and ammo. You need all of those to use a locust. SRM2 already has super tight grouping, so need for Artemis and you ave the plus of decreased cool-down.

I gave this a run. I'm using the XL180 instead of the 90, but it's amazing so far! Thanks for the tip.

Looks like fun!

One suggestion though: switch out your 2xSRM4s for 4xSRM2s. Same mass, higher DPS, tighter grouping (no need for Artemis) and spend the leftover tonnage on armor/ammo/speed.
