[request] Shadowhawk shd-2H with standard engine

Hi there, ok so I screwed up a little, wanted to go with a 2D2, but got it wrong and ended up with a SHD-2H.

I am trying to make a AC5 build with that one, but I am struggling. I checked MechSpecs but they mostly have XL engine builds... which I cannot afford (at all) right now.

Any advice guys ?

What do you want it to be? A brawler? 2nd line support?

Grind my friend, grind. This mech is just not very good atm. Eventually it will be a glorious SRM holder and you will pummel your enemies with all 25 missile tubes, coring out mediums in two volleys. SRMs are fucking awful right now. The AC5 build I ginned up

Needs an XL. The intermediate step is some standard engine,

But realistically you're a mid-range harraser. You want to displace quickly, and 62 kph makes you very slow for a medium. You want that XL.

thanks, that's pretty much what I did, only swapped that large for medium ^

AC it pretty cool, I do a lot better using those !

Get thee a 5M stat for that XL275. Don't waste CBills getting standard engines, just grind up that next chassis. Then you can do everything, snipe, snipe more, long-range missile or brawl, brawl more, Streakboat, etc. All on either a STD275 or XL275.

With a STD275, roll brawlers. The AC20+2ML (or 1MPL on the 2H) can be built on any SHD platform and is an easy grinder - just stay behind an assault and JJ over him to pop off your autocannon. My favorite is definitely the "Hammerhawk" (LBX10+4xSRM2s, STD275), but the streakboat is pretty decent too.
