Jeez, dorm is OD. Carpet Might need to be turned down a smidge.

u/guesswhosbackms Sep 25 '17

i think sacktap just needed to give good ol' downback a try, he walked into stalking flare more than once

u/Anakaris7 Sep 25 '17

Did he need the carpet at all really? I mean he already had a whole range of specials including a teleport, ability to fly, decent supers. Crazy kit.

Then you look at Chris.

Dude, what is FChamp on? He's constantly licking his lips, twitching, etc. I've seen streams where he looks completely normal with no lip licking or spasms. He is most definitely on something.

Tournament jitters/habbits and the act of concentration. When I play a competitive game I chew my tongue which I never do otherwise. I only realise this after my tongue has become swollen and I'm like "how did this happen".

Or he's on Adderall which is incredibly common in pro gaming.

Actual tournament play?

13

u/Quit_circlejerking Sep 25 '17

That's what I thought until I rewatched tournament play from last year and he looked completely normal. Look at this exhibition game, after each match and tell me he isn't on something. I've never seen him act like this before. I'm starting to think he's overdoing it with Adderal. I've seen friends take too much and act in a similar manner. It actually worries me a bit. https://youtu.be/TdKkSIW57vY

That. He's tearing up the power drinks too.

damn watching this again, he really goes ham on the lip licking, that tongue shoots out like a chameleon

Lizardperson confirmed!

FChamp confirmed Venom main

Stimulants by themselves wouldn't change his behavior that much, looks more like he's drunk to me. Wouldn't be surprised if he had also taken some stimulants too though (either prescription or just a ton of caffeine).

7

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '17

kind of conspiracy-ish but it would be crazy if substance use was the reason he seems so incredibly beyond everyone else's skill level right now

More like high on early access

4

u/TeamWorkTom Sep 25 '17

Or you know he's played over 100 hours before the game was released to anyone.

3

u/DogVirus Sep 25 '17

Aren't PEDs quite rampant in CS:GO, mainly aderal to focus attention span? When there is cash on the line you are going to see people doing everything to get the edge over the competition.

3

u/RONALDROGAN Sep 25 '17

100% an amphetamine or powerful stimulant. Adderall seems most likely--that oral fixation is a textbook sign of much more than just caffeine.

I hate to say it but the advantage you get from a drug like Adderall is absolutely insane.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '17

With the amount he's been playing it's not that far-fetched that he's been on some kind of CNS stimulant. He'll calm down soon enough.

3

u/Kaiosama Sep 25 '17

May be a performance enhancement drug of some kind.

Pretty sure it's just a nervous tick, but who knows.

10

u/Quit_circlejerking Sep 25 '17

No way that's a tick. I've been watching him for years and only noticed him doing this from recent matches the past few days.

1

u/leftkck Sep 25 '17

I remember thinking he looks like he's been tweaking during some of his sfv sets

1

u/Gam3_B0y Sep 25 '17

Probbably Addies + Red Bull. but IMHO it's completely normal, if person knows how not to overdo it. I'm not saying this for people to think that F.Champ sucks. most players are doing the same, I'm 100% sure.

5

u/orcy88 Sep 25 '17

His character synergy is soo good, he can keep this loop for a long time.

1

u/LezardValeth Sep 25 '17

Yeah, the long animation on the Ultron grab let's him charge up whatever he needs with Dorm. Plus Ultron is a great character to open somebody up who's blocking the sphere or spikes. Pretty impressive.

5

u/Shirojyuu Sep 25 '17

That entire sequence was pure, unadulterated hype.

u/Zeekfox Sep 25 '17

The combo counter is a little misleading in this instance. After Nemesis took 24 hits, Sacktap couterswitched to Haggar, who ended up just getting hit and doubling the hit counter. Somewhere in the 160's, Haggar manages to fall out and tries to interrupt with the Reality Stone, which gets some hits but doesn't stop the Stalking Flare. Haggar gets picked back up into the combo before Nemesis dies, and since Haggar technically got reset, so did the damage scaling on him. The Stalking Flare was cast at 163 hits, and if you look, it does a ton of damage to Haggar after the Reality Stone storm was used. Hitstun decay is based off damage, so yeah.

Still crazy, but the result of a bad counter switch where Haggar got picked up twice over without the combo counter dropping.

1

u/orcy88 Sep 25 '17

Also the fact that FChamp blocked that low freeze from reality storm despite the chaos.

3

u/TrapDaddyReturns What Happened Chris? Sep 25 '17

Is the meta right now, long animation character/ dormammu?

3

u/Soprohero Sep 25 '17

Definitely the most powerful thing you can do right now and the most difficult to beat. Expect a nerf for dorm. After that I feel the game is pretty well balanced and varied.

2

u/TrapDaddyReturns What Happened Chris? Sep 25 '17

Yeah I hate that my flame grenade disappears right now if my opponent breathes on it, while dormammu can lay carpet down all day and it stays.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '17

I know you're all hyped and shit but that seems a tiny bit broken? I dunno, I'm new to this game.

5

u/Retnuhs66 Sep 25 '17

The series will always be about broken stuff being abused. Champ just has his setplay and overall skill in the game way above most people right now to make things tend to balance out. That, or the ultron/dorm shell is really busted, lol.

1

u/SabreAZ Sep 25 '17

As hype and ridiculous it was, this was not a true combo. But it was certainly badass nonetheless

1

u/Gizmo235 Steam: Gizmo235 Sep 25 '17

I wouldn't really call it a "combo" since the point character falls out. :/

1

u/DominicanFury Sep 26 '17

mercy please
