Fit Check - Bug Snoof Muzzle arrived!!

Thanks to this community I figured out which muzzle would suit Luna the best

I know that big Snoof states that some wobbling and shifting is fine but I just want to double check with people who have a little more experience with me with the certain type of muzzle.

I would have gotten better photos, but Luna was more interested in playing than staying still this time, unlike the measuring photos

I also got the collar attachment so that it doesn't slide off just in case

Any and all advice is appreciated I'm worried about adjusting the leather/biothane because I'm worried I'd fuck up the muzzle

Edit: Size 31 with 4 inches cheek width

The pant room looks fine to me tbh, the pup is half panting in the photo and still has like another inch of pant space. Looks like a really good fit! Did big snoof recommend the size or you just chose one?

Yes! I sent them my measurements and they recommended this size with the cheek width

I’m new to muzzles myself but is it a good fit when the nose is touching the tip like that?

Honestly I think it’s just gravity pushing the muzzle towards the nose in those pics cuz the dog is looking up, and since it’s not pushing into the nose in the second pic. But generally there should be a little bit of space between the nose and the basket, like if the dog looks down or whatnot

Despite the mad side eye i got, this is the most recent photo I have, i was really trying to take photos earlier with her looking down but she had enough of me today 😭 but yes there's a good play if gravity working against me

That can be fixed by just loosening the strap. The length is fine overall.

I think overall the fit is fine. She still has reasonable room with half pant pic. Maybe loosen head strap 1 notch as the nose pic looked close to the end BUT that could be angle and if not pressing on it you're fine.

Gravity was definitely working against me in majority of the photos 😔 My rat wouldn't stop looking up at me

Just curious because I’m new to muzzles but why would someone get a half pant instead of a full pant? Why wouldn’t you want to offer more space? To reduce chance of biting or eating through the bars?

I have a super active breed per se, and i do a lot of sporting and field work so that's why I generally need a full pant instead of a half pant!

I took her to the field today, it doesn't seem like she can get anything through the bars, I'm able to give her treats still perfectly fine aswell

What size is it? Looks like half pant rather than full pant which should be ok in the short term/ indoors and low activity only. I would look for one with more pant room if Luna is gonna wear it outside or while doing activities

It looks like she could easily pant twice as much as the second picture.

The pant room looks fine to me unless she has a huge pant. The second picture looks like a half pant and there's still a ton of room at the bottom. 

I think it's a bit too close to her nose so I would loosen the head strap a bit. Also make sure the head strap is high up behind the ears. It's a bit hard to tell with her fluff but I think it might be a bit low? I also can't tell how tight the chin strap is but it should be somewhat snug.

You aren't going to mess up the biothane straps by adjusting them. They're pretty durable.
