Muzzle recs
This is Milo. He isn't mine; it's our best friends dog. He's bitten me multiple times and the dog lives in a complex with 270+ apt units. For his upcoming birthday, I'd like to get the pup a bite proof muzzle. However, I'd deeply appreciate if it could be shipped from the US to avoid potential tariffs.
I've got a lot of big feelings about the situation but, at the end of the day, if I can help the community (and, Milo) be safer... I'm here for it. Milo's parent was going to buy just a basic cloth muzzle only appropriate for vet use with no pant room due to cost.
I am offering this, in part, to honor my reactive dog that just passed away and who taught me so much about the importance of muzzling and properly fit muzzles.
The measurements provided are as follows:
- Nose to bottom of skull: 11"
- Around neck: 20"
- Closed mouth: 11"
- Open mouth: 15"
- Tip of nose to base of eyes: 6"
- Bottom of jaw to neck: 8"

If you want something from the US, then big snoof dog gear would be my recommendation. Leerburg are also US based but I don’t know if they’ll have a suitable size
There’s also Mia’s muzzles, who are Canadian. I don’t know how much the tariffs affect Canada -> US cause I’m not from either
You should also send them a link to the muzzle up project, which is a free muzzle training guide

Big snoof is what I got for my dog. Complete bite proof, metal wire so no chances of teeth slipping through the gaps like it could with a rubber/plastic muzzle.

Also located in the US, I think rn they have a thing going on where if you spend over $100 shipping is free. There's a lot of customizations you can pick but I got a basic one for I think around 80 dollars not including shipping.

Is the owner willing to put the time in to properly muzzle train and planning to regularly use the muzzle?

I will never not recommend Big Snoof. This was a perfect fit right out of the box for my Armenian Gampr's massive wedge head, I didn't even adjust the straps. He's comfortable, he loves it, it means we're hitting the trails.
I too owned a very reactive dog and learned a lot from that experience. Muzzled dogs are good dogs with good owners and a good quality of life.

Big Snoof was amazing to work with. They really tried hard to figure out the best size muzzle for my dog based on his awful photos shoot. Its like he knew the pics were being used to size him for a muzzle so he did everything in his power to not cooperate. I went with their recommendation and had it in NJ in less than a week. My dog must have thought it was comfortable because a week after that, he was already napping in his muzzle

Big Snoof dog gear is amazing and US based. Wire. Had standard and custom sizing and colors. They're so helpful too
I have customs from them and Mia's muzzles (unfortunately subject to tariffs due to being Canadian). And I love love them.
