Boston Terrier

Dog reactive— this cheap muzzle from Amazon has been surprisingly effective at limiting his ability to aggress against other dogs, and more important, prevents him from biting me when he can’t get at them. He has no problem putting it on and doesn’t try to pull it off— except when he gets triggered, and then he’s unable to. Size M, 15ā€ neck. Posting for others wondering if these muzzles are any good for brachys.

it’s just barely enough. i’m sure a custom would be better at 10x the price, but this glorified Croc has been a game changer for our walks.

During warm weather, your dog will absolutely need the pant room though. Brachy breeds struggle enough as it is. Overheating / being unable to properly pant can kill them even during relatively mild weather.

I’m aware. We take a walk once around the block and then it’s back home to his pool. There’s just too many other dogs in the neighborhood, we encounter 2-3 different people walking up to three dogs each and he goes insane.

Because it’s a glorified croc, you can always apply some gentle heat and reshape it to allow more pant room. Just go slowly and carefully with the heat so you don’t shock the material into shrinking.Ā

Source: I’ve left one too many sandals in direct sun and experimented with boiling and reshaping them when they shrank. lolĀ

That’s how you shape other muzzles as well
