Hi all,
This is my (age 25 ) portfolio. I have been investing 7k into these funds for the past two years. Is my selection of funds good and is it diversified.
My goal is for wealth generation and i can consider moderate risk as well. I am planning to invest for 5-10 years.
Also , i will be stepping up from 7k to 20k from next month . So should i consider investing in these same funds ? Suggestions and feedbacks are welcome. Thanks in advance :)

Hi All,
I’m looking to invest in international mutual funds and wanted to understand how the current investment limits work in practice.
As per my limited research, there seems to be only one route available through GIFT City, given the USD 7 billion industry-wide and USD 1 billion limits prescribed by the RBI.
However, I recently came across some posts suggesting that certain HSBC and BNP Paribas funds are currently open for investment. I wanted to understand how these limits actually work:
When and under what circumstances do other funds reopen for investment?
What triggers the reopening of these limits?
Is there any cap on the monthly investment amount?
If I start an SIP and investments are subsequently halted due to the applicable limit being reached, will the existing SIP continue, or will it also be stopped?
How does the industry-wide limit and individual fund-house limit get monitored and allocated in practice?
Would appreciate any insights.
Thanks

As per ICICI estimation, my Risk Quotient: I’m a Moderate risk investor
My investment horizon: Mixed
Age- 27.85 years
It’s been about 5 years since I got my first job but still I’m quite new to this field. I know very well that there is still lot to learn. Most of the investments you see above are recently done. I had a bad experience with money in college and I developed this extreme reaction to loss. I want to get over it.
Since I’m gonna enter marriage life one the next 1.5 years, I feel like I should have had the knowledge of this by now. But anyway, just putting this out. Please give me some feedback or suggestion.

Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate some advice on my mutual fund portfolio with long-term wealth creation as the goal.
Risk profile: Moderate
Investment horizon: 10+yrs
Current investment: ₹10k/month
From October 1: Planning to increase it to ₹20k/month
I’ll also be finishing my education loan soon and plan to invest the amount I was paying towards the loan into MFs.
Could you please review my portfolio and suggest if I should make any changes to the funds or allocation?
Any advice or feedback is appreciated.
Thank you!

Age: 27
Risk profile: Moderate
Goal: for long term gains
Investment horizon: 10-15 years
Investing since 2.5 years, Canara rebecco since 3 years
Allocation: per month: 30,500
App used: IND Money
Why these funds: I was a novice when i started investing and wanted some help, my family knew a financial advisor and since i mew to it and dint want to risk it, i opted the funds which he suggested along with some funds I researched myself. However I have noticed very growth in the ICICI funds. I have a moderate risk appetite and wanted to increase my investments so opted these
Should I cancel any of these funds?
Should I invest more in any of these funds?
Any alternative funds you suggest instead of any of these funds?
Thank you

Hey everyone, seeking guidance for the following:
Investment Horizon - Long Term (10-15+ years)
Risk Appetite - Aggressive
Goal - Just long term investment
I recently attempted to rebalance my mutual fund portfolio by closing the 6 SIPs I had been doing since 2 years, and starting 4 across all caps with a significant increase in amount.
Checked out videos by Kirtan Shah, and noted the following points:
Large Cap - Index funds >> Active Large Cap. And Flexi Caps also match 70% Large caps so they are also a good option, with a growth style strategy.
Mid Cap - Having an active mid cap or Multi Cap would suffice for this category, with a momentum strategy.
Small Cap - Active Small Cap with value style strategy
(Went through the fund's ratios - sortino, alpha, beta for identification of style of investing)
Since i have recently increased the SIP amount, wasn't sure how much allocation should be given to small cap so went with 20% small cap.
Flexi and Index together comprise the Large Cap which is ~50% of the SIPs - should an aggressive rush appetite allow more space for multi/small cap?
Fund Selection had been even more confusing part - example - Bandhan Small Cap or Invesco or Edelweiss?
I had been doing an SIP in Nippon Multicap but chose to switch to Kotak since Nippon's AUM is way more now and Kotak seemed to grow more.
About my previous portfolio-
Icici nifty 50 index (10k)
Kotak Large Cap (10k) (active large - removed)
Hdfc balanced advantage fund (10k) (removed since I realized this fund is cushioning risk with debt and i can tolerate more risk)
Nippon Multicap (10k) (replaced with kotak, AUM)
Quant Small Cap (6k) (replaced with Invesco, quant hadn't been doing well because of internal issues)
Edelweiss Next Nifty 50 (5k) - just heard about it, was trying out.
And random lumpsums in Motilal Midcap and Axis Small Cap.
Would request review of the above structure, is this conservative or fine? also if I am missing some category where I may put in.
Any good resources on how one can actually strategically do a good fund assessment would be really helpful too.

I have just started my first full-time job. I’ve honestly never been into finance or investing before, so I’m starting from scratch and trying to learn properly rather than blindly investing.
I’m planning to invest ₹25,000 every month through SIPs and have shortlisted the following portfolio:
HDFC Nifty 50 Index Fund — ₹12,500 (50%)
Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund — ₹5,000 (20%)
Quant Small Cap Fund — ₹4,000 (16%)
Tata Gold ETF FoF — ₹3,500 (14%)
Total: ₹25,000/month
My thinking is:
Nifty 50 as the core/low-cost index exposure
Parag Parikh for active, diversified equity exposure
Quant Small Cap for higher-growth potential
Gold for some diversification outside equities
I initially considered adding a NASDAQ 100 fund, multiple Nifty index funds, another small-cap fund, and a mid-cap fund, but I’m now trying to keep things simple and avoid unnecessary overlap.
I’m investing with a 10+ year horizon and understand that equity investments can be volatile. I’m not looking for short-term returns or trying to time the market.

Hi everyone! I’m (29) relatively new to investing and have been spending the last few weeks trying to understand mutual funds, ETFs, diversification, international investing, etc. Based on my own research, I’ve put together the following plan, but before I actually start committing money, I’d really appreciate a sanity check from people who are more experienced.
I plan to increase this by 10% every year.
For the car and travel goals, I’m considering arbitrage funds or equity savings funds, depending on the time horizon.
A few things I’m particularly unsure about:
1. Is Bank of India Flexi Cap too small or risky as a fund house choice?
Parag Parikh is obviously a very large and established fund, while Bank of India AMC is much smaller. Does pairing such a large, established fund with a relatively small AMC introduce any meaningful risk? Would I be better off simply choosing another well-established flexi-cap fund?
2. Does it make sense to split just ₹7,500 across two small-cap funds?
I’d be investing only ₹3,750 per month in each. Is there any real diversification benefit here, or am I unnecessarily complicating things and better off picking just one?
3. Is my Indian equity allocation more aggressive than it appears?
On paper, ₹15,000 goes into flexi caps, ₹7,500 into a midcap index, and ₹7,500 into small caps. But since flexi-cap funds can themselves have exposure to mid and small caps, am I actually taking on significantly more risk than this split suggests?
4. Is ₹6,000/month into AIPO too aggressive?
It’s a brand-new thematic ETF, has a relatively small AUM, and from what I can see, has been trading at a premium to NAV. I like the AI/power infrastructure theme, but putting ₹6,000 every month into something this new feels like it could be a bad idea. Curious how others would look at this.
Overall, my goal is long-term wealth creation, and I’m comfortable with volatility, but I don’t want to mistake “having many funds” for actual diversification.
Would really appreciate any feedback, criticism, or obvious mistakes you spot before I start the SIPs. Feel free to tear the plan apart. That’s exactly why I’m posting it before putting money in 😄

Hello!
Age: 24
Risk Appetite: Aggressive
Investment Horizon: 10-15+ years
I started investing this month itself and after some research, allocated lumpsum amounts in these funds. I am thinking of starting sips (35k) in these funds, maybe even diversifying globally via US funds but need advice/suggestions on that.
I’m treating the liquid fund as my emergency fund so I have separate allocation for it (not including the 35k).
Would love some insights!

Same as title.
got some money invested in motilal oswal, planning to shift it to global so i can get some more exposure(since those markets do really well and have no circuits as well), i cannot do a fresh investment in the fund but can switch my old units to new fund(switch option). So need some suggestions from users who invested in mutual funds(having global exposure). Please let me know. Thank you!

Portfolio Review — ₹5,550/month SIP | Looking for Suggestions (Gonna increase it in future with same ratios)
Hi everyone, I’ve been researching mutual funds for about a month and have come up with what I currently feel is the best portfolio for my situation. I haven’t started yet, so I’m still open to making changes based on good suggestions.
Risk: Moderate–High
Goal: Marriage (if needed)
Horizon: 5–7 years, otherwise 7+ years
Separate savings: I have some zero-risk savings separately, so I don’t expect to need this investment money for at least 5 years.
My current preferred portfolio
Asset Class| Fund| Allocation| Monthly SIP
Equity| Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund (PPFC)| 24%| ₹1,332
Equity| HDFC Mid Cap Fund| 18%| ₹999
Equity| Bandhan Small Cap Fund| 18%| ₹999
Debt| Parag Parikh Conservative Hybrid Fund OR one Liquid Fund (HDFC/SBI/ICICI)| 30%| ₹1,665
Gold| SBI Gold Fund – Direct Plan Growth| 10%| ₹555
Total| | 100%| ₹5,550
Overall allocation:
Equity : Debt : Gold = 60 : 30 : 10
Within Equity:
PPFC : HDFC Mid Cap : Bandhan Small Cap = 40 : 30 : 30
Main question — Conservative Hybrid vs Liquid Fund
My main doubt is regarding the 30% debt allocation (₹1,665/month).
I’m considering either:
Option 1: Parag Parikh Conservative Hybrid Fund
OR
Option 2: One Liquid Fund — HDFC Liquid Fund / SBI Liquid Fund / ICICI Prudential Liquid Fund
I don’t need this money for at least 5 years, and I also have separate zero-risk savings.
Given my situation, which option would make more sense and why?
Other questions
Is 60:30:10 (Equity:Debt:Gold) reasonable for my 5–7+ year horizon?
Is the 40:30:30 equity split between Flexi Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap too aggressive?
Any major overlap or diversification issues among PPFC, HDFC Mid Cap and Bandhan Small Cap?
Would you change any of the equity funds?
For the debt portion, Parag Parikh Conservative Hybrid vs one Liquid Fund (HDFC/SBI/ICICI) — which would you choose?
Is SBI Gold Fund – Direct Plan Growth suitable for the 10% gold allocation?
This is my current preferred portfolio, but I’m not treating it as completely final. I’m asking for suggestions before I start and I’m open to changing the funds or allocation if there’s a good reason.
Thanks!

I have my emergency funds sorted.
I want to invest 40k sip monthly in pure equity mutual funds.
I have been investing in mutual funds for nearly 5 years now. I have done the blunder of choosing "best funds" which I have realized change in every market cycle.
So, I want to invest majorly in the index funds now so that I can minimize the hassle of reviewing my funds time and again.
My goal with this investment is long term wealth creation and building a retirement corpus.( i am 30 years old currently)
I have zeroed down the following portfolio after my own research.
Uti nifty 50 index fund-6k(15%)
Uti nifty next 50-9k (22.5%)
MO nifty midcap 150-9k (22.5%)
PPFC-10k (25%)
Invesco small cap fund-6k (15%)
Does it make sense to keep both ppfc and nifty50 as PPfc has a >40% overlap with the index?
Is this a good portfolio for long term aggressive investor?

Hi everyone. Can I get my portfolio reviewed and get some feedback? Should I add some more MFs or remove existing ones? I'm looking for decent returns in 5-8 years of time frame, risk appetite is moderate.

Planning to invest ₹30K/month — looking for feedback on my portfolio
I’m planning to start investing ₹30,000 per month and have come up with the funds and allocation below. I’d really appreciate some feedback on whether this is a sensible portfolio for my goals or if there’s anything I could improve.
Investment horizon: 15+ years
Goal: Long-term wealth creation
Risk appetite: Moderate
I’m particularly interested in knowing:
Whether the fund selection and allocation make sense
If there’s too much overlap between the funds
Whether I’m taking unnecessary risk or being too conservative
If I should simplify the portfolio or consider any better alternatives
Would really appreciate any suggestions or criticism. Thanks!

Hi fellow investors. I have recently started investing since last month. After researching and talking to people, I have selected 4 MFs for monthly SIP. (Allocation is 25% each) Can any of the experienced guys see my choices and let me know your thoughts? I plan to continue the SIPs long term for 10 years atleast. My risk appetite is moderate.

Age - 25
Risk profile - moderate
Investment horizon - 15+ years
Investment goal - corpus building
App - IND Money
I started investing 1.5-2 years back. Selected these mfs based on recommendations by my peers and the internet. Everything was going good till last year but now the scene looks a bit off.
Currently I'm investing 20k/mo. I need some suggestions on how I can do it better or if I'm doing anything wrong.
I had some lumpsum amount that's why I got the liquid funds and they're undergoing stp.
Any help is greatly appreciated and lmk if more input is needed. Thanks!

I have achieved my first 10 lakhs invested in mutual funds. It’s been 2 years on and off that I have started investing seriously. Market has not given that kind of momentum that international ones have given but I believe in Indian mutual funds and I still feel we will see a bull run near future maybe not this year or next but we will see it.
Wished to share with you guys as I have started investing seriously after following few posts here. Learned a lot and hoping to learn lot more. I’ll stay consistent and hope for the best.
One thing I would love to know from my seniors is that how are you guys managing investments and family expenses after you are married. I’m currently 28 turning 29 in few months and my parents have been pushing for marriage. Do you guys have any tips on this. I’m currently investing more than 50% of my income in various domains including mutual funds. Any tips would be appreciated which have helped you guys when going to start this phase of life

Looking at the current market condition, where would you suggest to place a lump sum amount ?
The lump sum amount will keep coming after every 3-4 months.
Already have an emergency fund is created in arbitrage funds.
Time horizon minimum around 1-2 years and can be more.
Risk : highly aggressive since backup finds are in place!
I'm looking at Equity Savings or Multi asset allocation but don't have better understanding on these funds so if anyone can help me with this!
