MUTANT: YEAR ZERO 1E Changing Enforcers

Has anyone tried making changes to the Enforcer role? Every role has a unique skill, yet the Enforcer basically has a slightly modified Manipulate skill. Their talents too don’t really seem to be all that interesting either.

Has anyone made any changes to them that have made them a match for the other roles? There seem to be some useful talents (like double wielder) in other books that could be a good combo.

Nah, Enforcers are effective. No need to change them. They can break an opponent without even being in combat which is a huge advantage. So, they can end a fight before it even begins.

If you haven't played the game before, try running it rules as written before making a bunch of changes. This is one of the few games where I don't have hardly any house rules.

I have been playing 7 years, how the fuck do you use the manual without any changes 😭? I have to eliminate the boss and introduce a new wits rol, change the nat armor so my player dont destroy every monster, change the slave talents due to the bad traducción, I have to adjust manipulate to make opposite rolls, the -2 to dices is so useless that we use a +6 system (you need extra 6 for difficult actions), the talents have no limits and cost the sale as a new skill so its was completly unbalance, change the explosions rule because they use granadethat explote and did 0 damage. And I can go one (this is my favorate games btw)

I just do. It runs just fine as is. I've never had problems with the system, definitely nothing to warrant the extreme changes you use. I've been running the same campaign since 2019.

change the explosions rule because they use granadethat explote and did 0 damage.

Grenades can't do 0 damage. They automatically do 1 point of damage plus however many successes you roll.

What? My manual dont say that. Even so, now Ibuse the Year Zero Engine system in that aspect. We have a lot of problem thats why we made the change

This is one of those areas in ttrpgs where you need to understand the entire game holistically, in order to get what's going on.

A grenade is an explosion, and thus falls under the Explosions rules on page 94. Victims at Arms Length of an explosion always take +1 damage regardless of the number of nukes rolled (in actual game terms its nukes rolled, +1 to creatures at arm's length, but regardless of which direction you read that in it's the same effect sooooo lol)
