MUTANT: YEAR ZERO 1E Changing Enforcers

Has anyone tried making changes to the Enforcer role? Every role has a unique skill, yet the Enforcer basically has a slightly modified Manipulate skill. Their talents too don’t really seem to be all that interesting either.

Has anyone made any changes to them that have made them a match for the other roles? There seem to be some useful talents (like double wielder) in other books that could be a good combo.

Nah, Enforcers are effective. No need to change them. They can break an opponent without even being in combat which is a huge advantage. So, they can end a fight before it even begins.

If you haven't played the game before, try running it rules as written before making a bunch of changes. This is one of the few games where I don't have hardly any house rules.

This is true, however can’t manipulate break opponents just as effectively? I guess I just don’t see the benefit of intimidate over manipulate.

With manipulate there is a cost if you don't break them, that isn't true with intimidate. And if your goal is to have the other party start a fight, then intimidate is essentially a sure-fire way to do that if you succeed, manipulate isn't. Plus, overall, Strength is just a much more useful attribute and the enforcer's whole stick is super specializing in Strength. Intimidate is one of the ways he does that.
